Bank of America Freezes Gun Manufacturer's Account, Company Owner Claims
CNSNews ^ | January 7, 2013 | Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr.

Posted on 01/07/2013 12:44:50 PM PST by neverdem

Bank of America has reportedly frozen the account of gun manufacturer American Spirit Arms, according to its owner, Joe Sirochman.

In a Facebook post dated December 29, Sirochman wrote the following:

“My name is Joe Sirochman owner of American Spirit Arms. . . our Web site orders have jumped 500 percent causing our Web site e-commerce processing larger deposits to Bank of America. So they decided to hold the deposits for further review.

“After countless hours on the phone with Bank of America, I finally got a manager in the right department that told me the reason that the deposits were on hold for further review -- her exact words were -- ‘We believe you should not be selling guns and parts on the Internet.’”(emphasis added)

Sirochman also wrote that he told the bank manager that “they have no right to make up their own new rules and regs” and that “[American Spirit is a] firearms manufacturer with all the proper licensing.”

He also noted that he has been doing business with Bank of America for over 10 years, but will now be looking for a new bank.

According to Unlawful News, this isn't the first time Bank of America has targeted a customer involved in the firearms industry.

McMillan Group International was reportedly told that its business was no longer welcome after the company started manufacturing firearms – even after 12 years of doing business with the bank.

If this is true, then of course he should sue them into oblivion. But as I posted last week, I believe the Obama regime is doing everything possible behind the scenes to go after gun manufacturers and those associated with it.

Who runs BofA? Obama loving cronies.

My wife worked for Seafirst bank in Seattle that was bought by BA. She worked there 32 years. She was terminated along with 300 other employees in her department around the USA by a phone conference. She had enough time to retire and did that. Plus she got the buy out package. But, she hated BA. They screwed all the SF employees and changed all the programs they had for pay, retirement, 401k etc to benefit them (BA). She was happy to retire and leave.

Let’s see - Spirit Arms has orders go up 500% while BofA won’t survive if ever off the gummint nipple. I’ll have to go to Spirit Arms to see if they have anything I need.

Prosperity Bank or Frost Bank in Texas will be happy to have American Spirit’s account. Bank of America just settled a $10 billion payoff to the government. Who wants to trust that specious outfit with their cash?

Would have to say the mocked and mocking part began many years ago. The indicted part cannot be too far down the road, if not already begun. Who would mention it in the media, if has begun?

America no longer has a market economy — it’s closer to corporate fascism. Big Business + Big Government = Screw the American worker (especially if you are an American white male over age 50).

The Leftists are attacking on all fronts.

Perhaps ALL gun owners should do the same.(even if 15% of us did this, it would be quite effective)

Gun owners should SHUN the liberal gun grabbers on a personal and individual level. For example, lets say you are a gun owning house painter or landscaper. Someone known to you that supports gun bans calls you to have work done and you turn them away, denying them your service, and you tell them why. If they ran into this from ALL gun owners, their lives would quickly turn miserable! Bank of America couldn’t care less if we were to boycott them, HOWEVER, if all gun owners were to shun the folks working there, I’d bet the farm their attitude would change in a hurry!

Sure, there will be a certain amount of financial sacrifice that comes along with this, but it’s worth it, IMO. I’ve already put my money where my mouth is and did it a couple of times back in 2008. I do computer work ‘on the side’, and two of my clients were 0bama lovers(they drank the koolaid, bigtime). For one of them, their office called me for support, and I advised them of their situation(I had no ongoing agreement with them). The other was a doctor’s office for which I had an agreement. I advised the doctor that owned the practice that his contract would not be renewed, due to his support of 0bama. (oh God, he was NOT happy). That one cost me thousands, but it was worth it!

Everyone needs to do this!

SHUN THEM!!!!

I have noticed that suddenly resale shops, Goodwill, and St. Vincent de Paul are flourishing around here — in this affluent neighborhood.

Goodwill took over a Sears Hardware Outlet in September, and there hasn’t been a parking space open since. Seriously. The parking lot is jammed from morn to night.

White House weighs broad gun-control agenda

Washington Post, January 6, 2013 (here and here)

...the White House is developing strategies to work around the National Rifle Association that one source said could include rallying support from Wal-Mart and other gun retailers for measures that would benefit their businesses.

So it's just a coincidence that B of A begins behaving this way?

My wife felt the same way. She watched as her boss and 10 loan officers were canned. Then she lost from 15 employees which her department had to support her boss and the 10, go from 15 to 4. They stayed that way for a couple of years and then she and 3 got canned. One guy, the only newer one, they kept. He was low paid. Of all the people that worked in her section and the other 7 same type offices around the country, all total, about 85% of them were over 55 years old and had worked that section for 15 or more years. My wife actually was able to finally after 4 months get on with a very small bank near our home in WA state, but it was in trouble. We left WA state soon after that and came back to Alabama. A year or so after we left, that bank was taken over by the Feds. Glad she quit and we came home. Worked out best for us.

SHUN THEM!!!!

Shun them, shame them, abuse them.

I am getting used to actively doing theses things in all aspects in my life. It is against my nature, as it does make me appear to be mean. My latest act of meanness was at the grocery store about an hour ago. The woman ahead of me was having problems with her EBT card (Food Stamps) in the self-checkout line. She was complaining/giving crap to a high school kid working at the store and holding me up. (Amazing contrast by the way. A 17 year old, I know her, she goes to school and is friends with my daughter. She is working a job after school where she gets great grades. The food stamp woman was middle aged, fat, poorly dressed and completely illiterate ... Could not speak the American language if her life depended on it.)

This is the exchange that I had with her.

Me: "Shut your Obama loving pie hole and stop complaining, but before you do anything, say thank you."

She: "Say what?"

Me: "I said, 'say thank you.'"

She: "to who?", with her big fat lip sticking out.

Me: "To the person who is trying to help you, and to me."

She: "why you?"

Me: "because I am paying for your food stamps. Have you no shame?"

She shut up, but she didn't say thank you. Just what you would expect from one of Obama's people. At least she wasn't bothering my daughter's friend anymore.

Starve the beast. Stop using credit cards, use a local credit union if you need a bank account. Pay cash as much as possible. Support local businesses. Do as little business as possible with crony capitalists like Walmart, GM, Chrysler, GE, big insurance companies, all the big banks, etc..

You have my sympathy; while stories like yours should have sunk Obama, I believe there may have been an undercurrent of support for him from people in your position that just assumed (in this economy) that they wouldn’t be working again for years (if ever, and even then probably not at their prior wage levels). Too many people know too many other people that have been screwed in this “global economy”, and it just doesn’t make sense that Obama would win. I guess nobody believed Romney could save their jobs either (and they’d probably be right).

The most alarming consequence of this whole economy is the drop of the taxpayers’ birthrate to 0 (excluding “takers” such as cops, teachers, etc. - I generally don’t classify them as taxpayers).
