We had 0 homicides most years in our city. Then they opened a Section 8 apartment. We had two murders in the first 60 days after the apartments opened. A lot of bangers moved in and started the whole drug thing. Now its a no-go zone after dark.

This part of town is where some of the worst elements from a certain part of town landed when the respectable people in the aforementioned part of town ran them off.
Now, sadly, the respectable people in the aforementioned part of town, specifically north Tulsa, still live behind bars, and these guys at S. 61st and Peoria have started and nurtured for a couple of decades now when might be called "Holder-ville south" - a very bad pocket of crime right smack in the middle of suburbia. Very few of the respectable people from any part of Tulsa go there for any reason.
Murder is murder of course but I'd bet money that there was uh, some sort of illegal activity associated with it. **coughcough**
