Remember that the environmental left is decidedly anti-human in its endeavors, blaming “too many people” for “using up” their, the environmentalists, environment.

Dr. Eric Pianka, snake expert, gave an infamous lecture at a Texas university, in which he said that the best thing that could happen was for airborne ebola virus to wipe out 90% of the people in the world. To a standing ovation from “scientists”. The scary part is that some of them may work with microorganisms and try to bring his dream about, through bioterrorism.

And he is not alone in such advocacy, which has been around since Dr. Paul R. Ehrlich, butterfly expert, wrote his book in the 1970s called “The Population Bomb”, about overpopulation, proclaiming among other things that the world would be overcome by massive starvation in the 1980s, unless vast amounts of money and political power were given to the same people who demand vast amounts of money and political power today, under the ruse of man made global warming.

Fortunately, every single thing that Paul R. Ehrlich foretold utterly failed to come to pass. (And curse his parents for stealing the good name of the fine scientist and true humanitarian Dr. Paul Ehrlich (1854-1915).) But the modern day Ehrlich and his fanatic followers do not care and still honor him and his bad science at intervals, while calling for worldwide population control.

But this being said, do you think that such people would be ashamed that their actions lead to widespread starvation and malnutrition? Certainly *not*! They are all in favor of widespread starvation and malnutrition.

I heard an interview of the MInister of Energy who stated that the biofuels program was not driving up the prices of corn and other grains. He was not challenged by the reporter.
This whole policy of mandate, subsidize and protect the biofuels industry is absolutely crazy. If they want to favor a low emissions fuel..do something with CNG or LNG, but not corn.
