A national initiative aimed at curbing gun violence was launched by former US. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, on Tuesday -- the second anniversary of the shooting that killed six people and left her critically injured.
A new campaign website, Americans For Responsible Solutions, promised to “launch a national dialogue and raise funds to counter influence of the gun lobby.”
The couple last week visited Newtown, Conn., where a gunman opened fire in an elementary school, killing 20 children and six adults in December. They also met with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a gun control advocate.

Just watched her “interview” on Yahoo. Her husband talked a lot, and once in a while she would whisper “Strength” or “Peace”.
I’m sorry about what happened to her, even is she was a LB. But once she starts trying to take away my right to self defense, she is open game. And her lying and slavish devotion to the Democrat party needs to be discussed. She is once again acting as a Nancy Pelosi sock puppet - which is what she was BEFORE she was shot.

Sucks what happened to James Brady, too ... what happened after he got really sucked. The foul fascistic freaks (not least, his miserable bitch of a wife) spent years dragging the poor bastard around as the poster boy to destroy America.
He's yesterday's news; now they're trotting out the oh-so-much-more photogenic "Gabby" (what a wonderfully cute and catchy name) Giffords for the same evil purpose. A pox on them.

How involved was Giffords in the planning or was this arranged by one of her staffers?
The only reason Giffords is alive is that Federal Judge Roll (a conservative) blocked a deadly bullet from hitting her. He was killed doing that. He got half a sentence coverage from the media. “Judge Roll, one of the victims in the Gabby Giffords shooting was buried today, while Gabby Giffords continues to improve..... Gabby gabby gabby...”. I think the little girl got a couple sentences, but it was all Gabby.

IIRC , she was a pro 2nd amendement dem . Her hubby is a leftist and I would not be surprised if he runs for office in the future .
They make it sound like there aren’t already dozens of little Commie anti-gun groups out there to “counter the gun lobby”.
And to think he was smart and lucky enough to get to command space shuttle missions...
I guess it can’t be that hard then...
They are both hypocrites, theyh both own and possess, carry firearms for “their” self-defense...They have said as much...
Bottom line...There is no further need for debate or “common sense” discussion about this issue of gun, and gun type ownership...It is clearly defines and opined upon by the SCOTUS that it IS an INDIVIDUAL RIGHT now...And always has been...
These people and those like them will not be the ones trying to enforce their idea of gun-control on us...
When and if that happens, there will not be a lot of happy people in this country...
They are hedging their bets that we will not fight and resist this effort...
It will be a tremendous underestimation upon themselves...

I think we need to somehow post adult, mature, constructive comments on this website (if it totally loads up for you) and explain that they WILL NOT succeed in taking away any type of gun away from us, discpite their “reasonable” tone and demeanor...
Obviously something else is driving this effort now, so that needs to be defeated at all costs...
Just my opinion...
Only the crazy ones do gun violence,the rest protect.
