In Zeros world not spending more is the problem. He wants to spread the wealth around and has gone on record saying so. This is hunky dory with the MSM too so nothing to see, nothing to report.

None of the Liberals believe that we have a spending problem. Indeed they all seem to believe we should be spending far more on social benefits like the Europeans.
The only spending they seem to have a problem with is military spending, which they’d like to shift into welfare programs. That has not changed since the 60’s.
In comparison stupid Republicans (Romney, Angle, Akin, its endless) just love to give Dems ammunition in recordings they can play over and over to beat them over the head.

Altogether apart from politics... just looking at the numbers and applying a little basic logic tells you that the money for wholesale (in many cases, unnecessary) freebies to an ever increasing group of people has to come from SOMEWHERE ... and that ‘SOMEWHERE’ is a rapidly diminishing resource!
Forget Republican and Democrat! Forget the inevitable and destructive social discord which is the guaranteed outcome of a plan to provide so much and at no cost, to all comers. How can a smaller and smaller group taxpayers continue to supply the needs of an exploding class of people, who do not and never will support themselves in ANYTHING?

Government spending rises to an unprecedented peacetime level of 25 of GDP and "spending isn't the problem". He's either a well practiced liar or so dumb he shouldn't be in the White House.
