Lance Armstrong Will Ask Oprah for Absolution, Forgiveness in Interview
Showbiz 411 ^ | 1.8.13 | Roger Friedman

Lance Armstrong has decided to come clean, so to speak. Since the big dope’s life is essentially ruined, he’s apparently going to admit it all and ask for forgiveness. And who better to give it to him that Oprah? She’s got him on January 17 from 9 to 10:30pm on the hard to find OWN channel. Good for her. It used to be that celebrities went to Larry King or Barbara Walters when they needed to eat crow publicly and return to the world....(snip) ...We will wait for the usual clips, leaks, and advance bites. PS Apparently the Showtime show, “60 Minutes Sports” is also headlining a tremendous piece by Scott Pelley. Check it out at CBSNews.com...(snip)

LA didn't just dope like everybody else. He conducted a mafia like reign of terror to enforce and cover it up. He was very nasty to many associates and screwed a few such as one mechanic who helped him a lot who he promised to help open a bike shop. Lance was enfant terrible

So in the beggining a few months back I supported him thinking he just doped like all the top finishers....But it was a lot more than this. But if-when he comes on Oprah he will probably say he just did what the rest where

Druggies can't be shamed.

But its not even that kind of drugs is it? I mean we are talking about blood doping to win, not altering your state of mind on an addictive drug that makes you feel good all over. There should be clear-headed SHAME here. He should sulk away and lurk in the shadows of society feeling... you know... ashamed! But no, he wants to go be the center act in Oprah's three ring circus and freak show.

After all, he as racing against a field of dopers and he only did what they did to level the playing field.

I think that's true. You could strip one athlete of his title and it would just go to another athlete who had used similar doping techniques.

If Armstrong is on the “juice” his cojones are really small.

I can’t stand this guy and never could. I ALWAYS thought he was over rated and didn’t deserve the hero worship that he received. It is not one of those things where I liked him and then he screwed up and now I don’t like him. I never did. I thought he was very arrogant from day one. Trust me if he were nice from day one and I found him impressive and then he screwed up, I would still support him. However, I never supported him and never will. For example, I admire Tebow for his Christian lifestyle and the way he lives his life. If for some reason, he got a DUI or something, I would not bash him but pray for him and hope that he got help. Very different situation with Armstrong.

Any user of a drug used to illicitly alter one's state mentally or physically can't be shamed.

He should sulk away and lurk in the shadows of society feeling... you know... ashamed!

Agreed, but as I stated, druggies can't be shamed.

LeMond isn’t the “I told you so” type, I think. (Maybe I am wrong?) I think LeMond really felt that the drug situation was getting out of control, that the drugs were too good even... That the cyclists were no longer having “bad days.” The other question, naturally, is whether LeMond himself used PEDs. I like to think not. And, at the same time, in a great cat and mouse game, it appears Lance’s star fell not because of positive tests but because of other riders’ testimonies.

Another fraud scheme that blowed up good. Put your faith in God, not men .... or women. LA should run for Congress as a DemocRat. He’ll fit right in with the RICO party.
