Remember when the left pretended they liked the Second Amendment? That’s passé. Today, Democrats around the country are preparing for a big gun grab, the likes of which the Republic has never before seen. In New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has actually publicly pitched all-out gun confiscation (or alternatively, forced gun buybacks), is now preparing grandiose new legislation designed to strip New Yorkers of “assault weapons,” as well as restrict the size of magazines. In the only provision actually designed to reduce crime, Cuomo will also propose harsher penalties for using a gun in the commission of a crime.
Cuomo recognizes that what’s he’s doing is politically divisive. But in today’s America, he also recognizes that he’ll be rewarded by the media for cramming down political divisive gun control, even if it does nothing to stop violence. “It’s a very divisive topic,” said Cuomo. “There’s a lot of energy on both sides. Some people are vehemently against, some people think we’re out of our minds for not passing it … Gun control is highly political, politically contentious situation. It is polarizing.”
Cuomo isn’t the only New York politician stumping for gun confiscation. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who dreams of the Nanny State, has now produced and distributed a new commercial for Mayors Against Gun Violence, showing the mother of a murder victim asking, “How many more children must die before Washington does something to end our gun violence problem?”
But the push for gun confiscation isn’t limited to New York. In Iowa, State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer told a local newspaper, “We cannot have big guns out here as far as the big guns that are out here, the semi-automatics and all of them.”

It seems like Boehner and his buds are the offensive line for tyranny.
Guns and cars are the enemy of the left! Both empower the INDIVIDUAL, not the collectivity.
I would say “Yessssss [fistpump]” as every time they’ve ever messed with this issue it meant the electoral wilderness for them, but today’s voters did elect The Won. Twice. So it may be a “be careful what you wish for” moment.

Please, let’s recognize that all of our division, all of our anger at each other (Boehner, Huckabee, Gingrich, Romney, et al) is what the media and the liberals WANT.

There are so many “rights” in this country anymore, that people think gun rights are just like abortion rights, privacy rights, employment rights, etc. I don’t think most people understand the significance of an enumerated right in the Constitution.

627:4 Physical Force in Defense of a Person. –
I. A person is justified in using non-deadly force upon another person in order to defend himself or a third person from what he reasonably believes to be the imminent use of unlawful, non-deadly force by such other person, and he may use a degree of such force which he reasonably believes to be necessary for such purpose. However, such force is not justifiable if:
(a) With a purpose to cause physical harm to another person, he provoked the use of unlawful, non-deadly force by such other person; or
(b) He was the initial aggressor, unless after such aggression he withdraws from the encounter and effectively communicates to such other person his intent to do so, but the latter notwithstanding continues the use or threat of unlawful, non-deadly force; or
(c) The force involved was the product of a combat by agreement not authorized by law.
II. A person is justified in using deadly force upon another person when he reasonably believes that such other person:
(a) Is about to use unlawful, deadly force against the actor or a third person;
(b) Is likely to use any unlawful force against a person present while committing or attempting to commit a burglary;
(c) Is committing or about to commit kidnapping or a forcible sex offense; or
(d) Is likely to use any unlawful force in the commission of a felony against the actor within such actor’s dwelling or its curtilage.
II-a. A person who responds to a threat which would be considered by a reasonable person as likely to cause serious bodily injury or death to the person or to another by displaying a firearm or other means of self-defense with the intent to warn away the person making the threat shall not have committed a criminal act.
III. A person is not justified in using deadly force on another to defend himself or herself or a third person from deadly force by the other if he or she knows that he or she and the third person can, with complete safety:
(a) Retreat from the encounter, except that he or she is not required to retreat if he or she is within his or her dwelling, its curtilage, or anywhere he or she has a right to be, and was not the initial aggressor; or
(b) Surrender property to a person asserting a claim of right thereto; or
(c) Comply with a demand that he or she abstain from performing an act which he or she is not obliged to perform; nor is the use of deadly force justifiable when, with the purpose of causing death or serious bodily harm, the person has provoked the use of force against himself or herself in the same encounter; or
(d) If he or she is a law enforcement officer or a private person assisting the officer at the officer’s direction and was acting pursuant to RSA 627:5, the person need not retreat.

Just think, if all those people standing in line for a chicken sandwich and more recently guns and ammo voted for a presidential candidate that wouldn’t do this versus sitting at home, this might not be as big a concern.
Staying at home and not voting or just casting a protest vote really showed them.

Homo laws, marriage laws, abortion laws are not rights like the 2nd amendment which is, through the ocnstituion.
Most at schools today have no clue where we get our rights, they think all this mushy pansy land crap.

The Leftists are going to push gun confiscation regardless of any possible consequences. The socialist elites must have a disarmed and submissive population to continue in power.
As the economy deteriorates under socialist rule, the general population will grow increasingly unhappy with the rulers. Those same rulers will use any means neccessary to maintain their positions and protect themselves from a hostile population. Scapegoats will be regularly punished to appease the masses and deflect opposition.

The progressives appear to have a major miss understanding about the issue. When a gun lover says you will have to pry his gun out of his cold dead hands, the progressives think they understand that statement and reply, no problem. What they fail to realize is that the gun owner is actually saying he will die fighting for his right to have a gun. IE - He is not the only one who will have cold dead hands.

The reason Obama won was because the GOP offered "more of the same" with Romney.
They showed their hearts with the voice-vote/teleprompter incident and the state primary where they retroactively changed rules to allow a Romney win (instead of having delegates go to Ron Paul).
The GOP is not good, and to allow "the other guy's worse" argument is to approve of their actions (Bohner's constant caving should put a lie to even that).
Far, far too limited: we need to be against statists, no matter what letter they put next to their name.

I'm sure they will -- probably not the House though. My point was that all this anti-firearm fervor will get the attention of a huge chunk of people who don't vote much and AFTER the 2014 election we will see huge gains like we did in 2010.
Seems like the people who support the 2nd Amendment and the US Constitution in general need to flock to specific states and then watch the criminals go finish off the states (and DC) that intend to be sheep in a slaughter-pen. Could make secession unnecessary.
But I think the communist-Islamist alliance is accelerating to some big event that’s going to literally blow this whole country wide open. They’ve thrown long-term political future to the wind; they’re planning some reason to use those millions of rounds of hollow-tip bullets that the government has been stocking up on, and my guess is before the 2014 midterms.
I think the best we can do is kiss the liberal hell-holes good-bye (they will never listen to reason anyway and will be taken over by the government whenever the “crisis” hits) and make sure that armed Constitutionalists are so thick in the mid-section of the country, that the government CANNOT finish off their coup here. In effect, the brain-dead states will self-secede, with DC going with them.
Those in government in the mid-section need to realize what’s going on and realize that if they try to use the weapons that Napolitano is sending them, they will be shooting all their neighbors, and all their neighbors will be shooting back.
People in the military have to decide which country they took an oath to protect - the Constitutional one, or the communist-Islamist coup.

In the middle of the country maybe. But I don’t think there’s any way to save the coasts, even if the media was gone. This is an extremely divided country, with the coasts wanting to go the way of Hitler, and the mid-section generally still wanting to be America. A nation divided against itself cannot stand. It just can’t. There’s no way to hold this union together.
If the mid-section tried an outright secession it would be civil war, with all the US Defense Department on the side of Hitler. It would be a much smoother transition if we let the criminals within Hitler’s ranks kill off their own and be the sole areas where martial law and hollow-tip bullets are needed when the full coup hits (or where anybody could use those bullets without being suicidal).
We know their game plan; it’s the same in every coup. We just need to be one step ahead of them. People and businesses need to flock to the mid-section. Create our own economy before they can force a crisis on us.
What happens in New York City makes no difference,there is been some of the harshest firearm legislation there for years.They are still pushing people there in front of the subway trains.Unless they can “export” that legislation onto the Red States,what the States do is meaningless.
What Dems are up in the Senate 2014? Perhaps this will awaken the sleeping Americans.
