Gun Grabbing Legislation Sweeps Nation
Breitbart ^ | 1/9/13 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 01/09/2013 7:28:54 AM PST by Nachum

Remember when the left pretended they liked the Second Amendment? That’s passé. Today, Democrats around the country are preparing for a big gun grab, the likes of which the Republic has never before seen. In New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has actually publicly pitched all-out gun confiscation (or alternatively, forced gun buybacks), is now preparing grandiose new legislation designed to strip New Yorkers of “assault weapons,” as well as restrict the size of magazines. In the only provision actually designed to reduce crime, Cuomo will also propose harsher penalties for using a gun in the commission of a crime.

Cuomo recognizes that what’s he’s doing is politically divisive. But in today’s America, he also recognizes that he’ll be rewarded by the media for cramming down political divisive gun control, even if it does nothing to stop violence. “It’s a very divisive topic,” said Cuomo. “There’s a lot of energy on both sides. Some people are vehemently against, some people think we’re out of our minds for not passing it … Gun control is highly political, politically contentious situation. It is polarizing.”

Cuomo isn’t the only New York politician stumping for gun confiscation. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who dreams of the Nanny State, has now produced and distributed a new commercial for Mayors Against Gun Violence, showing the mother of a murder victim asking, “How many more children must die before Washington does something to end our gun violence problem?”

But the push for gun confiscation isn’t limited to New York. In Iowa, State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer told a local newspaper, “We cannot have big guns out here as far as the big guns that are out here, the semi-automatics and all of them.”

Wait until the anti-gun bills hit the Senate. They’ll sail right through.

I'm sure they will -- probably not the House though. My point was that all this anti-firearm fervor will get the attention of a huge chunk of people who don't vote much and AFTER the 2014 election we will see huge gains like we did in 2010.

Seems like the people who support the 2nd Amendment and the US Constitution in general need to flock to specific states and then watch the criminals go finish off the states (and DC) that intend to be sheep in a slaughter-pen. Could make secession unnecessary.

But I think the communist-Islamist alliance is accelerating to some big event that’s going to literally blow this whole country wide open. They’ve thrown long-term political future to the wind; they’re planning some reason to use those millions of rounds of hollow-tip bullets that the government has been stocking up on, and my guess is before the 2014 midterms.

I think the best we can do is kiss the liberal hell-holes good-bye (they will never listen to reason anyway and will be taken over by the government whenever the “crisis” hits) and make sure that armed Constitutionalists are so thick in the mid-section of the country, that the government CANNOT finish off their coup here. In effect, the brain-dead states will self-secede, with DC going with them.

Those in government in the mid-section need to realize what’s going on and realize that if they try to use the weapons that Napolitano is sending them, they will be shooting all their neighbors, and all their neighbors will be shooting back.

People in the military have to decide which country they took an oath to protect - the Constitutional one, or the communist-Islamist coup.

My two-cents’ worth.

Wouldn’t it be easier, more efficient, and less collateral damage for us to just shoot the media after the first shot?

In the middle of the country maybe. But I don’t think there’s any way to save the coasts, even if the media was gone. This is an extremely divided country, with the coasts wanting to go the way of Hitler, and the mid-section generally still wanting to be America. A nation divided against itself cannot stand. It just can’t. There’s no way to hold this union together.

If the mid-section tried an outright secession it would be civil war, with all the US Defense Department on the side of Hitler. It would be a much smoother transition if we let the criminals within Hitler’s ranks kill off their own and be the sole areas where martial law and hollow-tip bullets are needed when the full coup hits (or where anybody could use those bullets without being suicidal).

We know their game plan; it’s the same in every coup. We just need to be one step ahead of them. People and businesses need to flock to the mid-section. Create our own economy before they can force a crisis on us.

What happens in New York City makes no difference, there is been some of the harshest firearm legislation there for years. They are still pushing people there in front of the subway trains.Unless they can “export” that legislation onto the Red States, what the States do is meaningless.

What Dems are up in the Senate 2014? Perhaps this will awaken the sleeping Americans.

so having a person that wants to grab guns in the highest office that will use any means necessary to take them away is better?
yea, it’s that mentality that has us in the mess and it will only get worse over the next four years.

Talk to the RNC. They are the ones who put up the failing candidates over and over again. How did “my mentality” cause that?

the mentality that chooses to ignore the danger Obama and the left pose because Romney wasn’t to the right of RR. Those that didn’t want to sully their hands by using it to vote for the more conservative choice on the ballot that had a chance to win. Those are to blame. That’s the mentality.
He wasn’t perfect but if it were romney being sworn in, we would be talking about the economy, not banning guns and civil war.

The most toxic ones at the moment are Democrats. I do agree statists must be taken away...but before you go after the little rodents, you’ve gotta get the rats. :)

If we had background checks on all the 900 who ‘work’ in the White Hut it would be empty, as well as the multitudinious agencies of this central socialist government.

This entire regime that has been cobbled together by the master America hater is illegitimate and the majority of our sycophantic Congress knows it well!

Look. Thats bulls**t. I was a strident Romney opponent, but in the end, the ballot went to him. 99% of the people on here did the same.

The election was stolen. Pure and simple. Not even Obama expected the win. In the leadup to November 6, Romney was strutting, and Obama hung his head like he already lost.

Some powerful outside forces, forces that HATE America as it was, intervened ... to EVERYONE's surprise.

Don't blame people here. Seriously.

“How many more children must die before Washington does something to end our gun violence problem?”

Damn good question.

How many more kids have to die, before Washington ends the insane practice of disarming school teachers and staff? How many more babies must be slaughtered before Washington quits insisting that school teachers and staff must not be prepared to defend themselves and the precious children in their care?

How much more death do the gun-control freaks in Washington want?

End the Insanity!

Repeal the 'Gun-Free School Zones Act'!!!

Allow teachers, staff and volunteers to arm themselves!

Defend our Precious Children!

If it saves even one life, it's worth it.

“We cannot have big guns out here as far as the big guns that are out here" -- State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer

Good Lord. Pig-ignorant, and elected.

Here. Allow me to help, Mister Dan: "The big guns, they are big, and they are out there, and the big guns that are out there, we can not have the big guns, the ones that are big and out there. Big guns. Out there. Cannot have."
