With the sale of Current TV, the former vice president's fortune is pegged at more than $300 million.
A lot has changed for former Vice President Al Gore, who left the White House with a reported $1.9 million net worth.
With an estimated $100 million gross profit from the sale of his Current TV to pan-Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera, Gore is now worth more than $300 million, according to an estimate from Forbes.com.
That puts his net worth well ahead of that of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who has an estimated fortune of $230 million and was often mocked for being out of touch with ordinary Americans during the election.

What products has al gore produced that are of any value to the average consumer?
He’d be richer than Bill Gates if he could force governments and corporations to buy his Carbon Credit Indulgences in the First Church of Greenie Weenie Doomsday Cult.
Gore’s “products” are fear, division, envy, resentment and anger ... none of which are of any value to the average consumer. But that’s what liberalism is all about.

I remember the criticism of Sarah Palin and even daughter and single mother Bristol because they were making money with TV shows. When conservatives do that it's evil. But when liberals do that it's A-OK.
Unfortunately I read the same criticism here as well “She got rich, she sold out, she got rich” and I say GOOD FOR THEM..they deserved every penny after the hell they went through..I have always said that if it wasn’t for hypocrisy liberals would have nothing left..they dont care that Gore made money from big oil, they dont make a fuss that he sold the company BEFORE Obama’s tax hike went up..of course not, when a liberal does it its all good, if a Republican does it they are evil capitalists

AlGore is a notorious piker when it comes to charitable giving, and Mitt Romney is noted for his great generosity. It would be interesting to see how much Romney has given away through the years...
And let’s not forget he’s got hundreds of millions of dollars of dirty, oil money he’s taken by exploited arabs who have been tricked out of their oil by the evil capitalists like...himself.

And let’s not forget that it was Al Gore who negotiated the the sale of the Elk Hills Naval Petroleum Reserve to Occidental Oil back in 1998. At the time it was the largest sale of federal property in the history of the U.S. government and Gore owned Occidental stock meaning he profited directly. But of course, he hates oil companies.

According to the Church of Political Correctness, only liberals and those approved by them are permitted to achieve wealth. Everyone else is expected to keep working and work frustratingly hard and expect to give the fruits of their labor for the good of society. And vacation is a perk only for those the libs approve as well. Anyone else taking vacation would be subject to layoff.
Got to love those double standards. And I bet Algore outsourced jobs to India too.
