Wow. Time to dust off the amateur graphology.

It’s a startling, unconventional abstraction. Very tightly controlled though. This is a person for whom a signature is a statement of disdain to the point of defacing, almost grafitti.

It’s a power play, too. Look what I can do and it won’t hurt me a bit, I’ll make all your serious paperwork look like a clown car ran over it.

He’s a destroyer, he’ll be worse than Geithner. Studied unseriousness but with control and purpose. He’d relish the thought of implementing that loony platinum trillion dollar coin.

I'd say he's a narcissist. Sort of a "whatever" guy, who puts his signadoodle on the paper and then does whatever he wants.

Aloof and disengaged from other people, sort of like Obama himself. But there's also a dandy-ish streak or flourish in the signature -- and maybe in the man, though it's not something he lets out.

On the other hand, maybe Tristram Shandy is his favorite book:
