John Wayne would have made a perfect Joe Arpaio in the movies, or is it Sheriff Joe is a perfect example of John Wayne?
Either way I gotta love the guy for what he has come to symbolize - the last sane public official.
It's the former. John Wayne never faced real bad guys--only actors shooting blanks. Sheriff Joe is the real thing.
