The national debate about gun control is becoming frightening to watch as it unfolds every day in the news. Both sides are beyond passionate on the issue and it is hard to see a “compromise” in the future because there really is no compromise to be had. Either the Second Amendment trumps the inevitable mass shootings by the mentally unstable, or it does not. A father from Post Falls, Idaho touched on a universal sentiment felt by parents:These are my children. My daughter is 6 and my son is 4. Those of you who have small kids know how fantastic it is to watch them learn and grow every single day. You also know how much you want to protect your little ones from harm. I protect them from choking, drowning, running in front of traffic, sharp objects, and the list goes on. I also protect them from anyone who would do them harm. There has been violence and killing since the beginning of time. World peace sounds like a great idea but let’s face reality – we are NEVER going to rid the world of violence. All we can do is try to mitigate it’s effect on us. These are the guns that protect my family.

This is EXACTLY why gun control and socialism walks hand in hand, and EXACTLY why this issue is coming up at the PRECICE time that Obama is taking office. The last election was thrown by marxists, they have taken power. Once socialists take power, the next step is to kill off the opposition.
For this government to go where it wants to next, It MUST have gun control.
This dad speaks well and he speaks for me.
I can’t imagine being forced, by my own government, to give up the tools that I might need to protect myself and my loved ones.

The whole purpose of the Second Amendment is to prevent having our guns taken away by government tyranny. That’s what we should be marching for.
We should use the Soviet Union, China and Nazi Germany as examples on why we have a second amendment. Call the Demcrats radicals for wanting to take our guns.
This is the opportunity to get our message out.

It’s WHY the Second Amendment exists in the first place - to give We The People the ability to STOP this kind of sh*t.
No one has the right to learn to be a good dad in America, you will only be told how to be a good dad. If you are defenseless, you are more likely to be told than actually being a good dad.
