Chicago’s illustrious Police Chief, Superintendent or SuperNintendo (whichever you wish to call him) got on a local radio station in Chicago and told it like he perceives it. He said that citizens licensed to carry could be, and indeed predicted they would be shot by Chicago Police Officers.

Damned. I thought we had stupid police chiefs in Philadelphia (since Rizzo), Baltimore since the early 60’s, and DC (since the beginning of time).
Chicago has now outscored them all on the “Dumb as Shit” meter.
The citizen has now become the police’s top shooting target while the gangbangers and Obama voters continue on with their deadly rampages almost unchallenged.
Rahm and Obama: “Yes you did” make Chicago the biggest shithole in America. Proud of yourselves, huh?

Police chiefs in big cities are essentially political appointees and cophouse politicians themselves. Rank and file officers usually ignore them and consider them dangerous because they never really have their backs.
He claims licensed civilians aren't trained well enough. Have you ever seen a news report about police shootouts where they tell you how many shots were fired...like 30 rounds expended for two hits?
We already know of a Georgia stay-at-home mom who hit an intruder with five out of six shots from a .38 revolver,I don't think many cops could match that.
Also my 73 year old eyes get a workout at the range at least once a month with my 1911,.357/.38 Special snubbie and a Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt...although it is getting a little expensive...I'm considering re-loading.
My best groups are with my snubbie...a 2 1`/2 inch total titanium Taurus...3 inch groups at 25 yards...not too bad for an old fart like me!

Why do these media sources have to over dramatize?
I’ve tried to warn people over the many years that the cops will be easily turned into a Bolshevik militia with the principle mission of terrorizing the ordinary person into obedience.
Even today, you are more likely see cops focused on “law-abiding” people than criminals —largely because the law-abiding don’t shoot back.

That is why I qualified, and carry CCW licenses from 4 states. Oh, the licenses don’t give me protection; it is what they permit me to carry that protects me and others.

I’m going to say something that’ll piss off a few folks here but dead Chicago cops are a mixed blessing; shoot back civilians.

when I was a municipal police officer back in the 50’s, we were referred to as “peace officers” and keeping the peace was our job with six shooter revolvers and billy clubs. We had few problems.
