You may be sick of hearing about him again, but Warren Buffett did huge damage serving as Obamas useful fool last year.
Dupes comprise a long, dubious tradition in American history. Over 200 years ago, George Washington warned the nation about dupes in his historic Farewell Address. Such warnings would echo from the founding of the republic through the Cold War. During the Cold War, dupe, like the associated word, useful idiot attributed to Vladimir Lenin became an everyday term. Dupes were legion during the Cold War, a unique breed of (largely) left-leaning Americans who, unwittingly, allowed or enabled themselves to be deceived or misled by communist propagandists. Communists were natural liars, and liberals/progressives were their primary suckers. In fact, Obamas communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, excelled at this crass craft. In all, there were so many dupes during the Cold War that Ive often said that my book on the subject could be the first in a multi-volume set.
But dupes did not end with the Cold War hardly. Consider any number of exhibits over just the last four years:
Remember the Stupak Democrats? There was Congressman Bart Stupak of Michigan, who, on March 24, 2010, along with 12 other beaming pro-life House Democrats, stood aside President Barack Obama as he signed an executive order promising to prevent abortion funding in Obama-care. They made another group of dupes, the social-justice champions at Notre Dame who gave Obama an honorary degree a year earlier, look shrewd as serpents by comparison.
Dupes come in many shapes and sizes. Who was the biggest dupe of 2012?

So old Warren knows exactly how fascism and crony capitalism can cement his name in history.
Thousands of policy payments arriving in Omaha every day provides a steady supply of cash for Warren to buy the companies lost to inheritance taxes.
The biggest dupes of 2012 were those of us who trusted the Republicans to do the right thing.
Not just that.
Look at how he came out with his Goldman Sachs deal.
Just a coincidence of course, that he was a pal of Paulson and that the company was declared to be a bank shortly after his stock purchase.
He could not possibly have known ahead of time.
Some people are just sooo lucky.
These guys are not capitalists although there is another word that starts with “C” that more accurately describes them.
Put simply Warren Buffett is the classic example of a fascist pig.
Then I listened to one of his books on tape and learned about his politics and his secrets to success. Now, I see his skill set and success differently.
He's been a decent investor, but he's far better political player using political knowledge and connections to his advantage, than he is a financial guru.
The dupe of the year is Karl Rove, who for eight years let Bush and the GOP get blamed for everything and credit for nothing. Karl Rove, who ran all the messaging of the 2012 campaign, as head of all the Super PAC money, and agreed that UE was really 8%, never countered the notion that Obama inherited a “mess from Bush” - and never ever picked one hard ideological fight.
Or maybe the dupes are the billionaires on our side who trusted Rove with their hundreds of millions......
Dupe of the year? 47%.
I stopped watching Carl Rove every damned time he appeared on neo-conservative Hannity’s program and the moderate (stands for nothing) O’Reilly hour.
Further, whenever he writes a piece on the Wall Street Journal’s opinion page, I never read it.
The problem is, he still had influence, and the big money folks across the country still listen to him. Thus, he has major impact, whether we personally watch him or not.
I second and third that.
He was nicknamed TURDBLOSSOM for good reason!
