So, you know, I think that, have we achieved everything that some might have imagined us achieving in the best of scenarios? Probably not. You know, there's a human enterprise, and you know, you fall short of the ideal," said Obama.

The president went on to say that America has achieved some measure of success in Afghanistan, however. "Did we achieve our central goal? And have we been able, I think, to shape a strong

Nothing out of the ordinary here, just the usual belittle-America-after-election horseclinton.

Who’s fault is that? It sure as hell isn’t the military’s fault. The buffoons on Capitol Hill need to look in the mirror. They, and their toads in the “media” have killed more American military people than all of our enemies combined. We need to rewrite our laws that once a war is started, the first people to go are all of the politicians. They’d knock off their rules of engagement BS, quickly.

Some of them ARE aged/infirm... we should send their children first.

I'd be curious to know whether that limp wristed, shifty-eyed sorry excuse for a Commander in Chief inspires any confidence among our men and women in uniform.....

Our Military fell short of nothing! Our Government that controls the Military has and will.
Success can only occur when success is wanted to be achieved.
This POTUS just told the world we are a failure. a blatent lie.
This arena should have been given to a General and told to clean house.
The Afghanistan Government and people did not want western ways and change. This should have been self evident, however they loved our money. O bama is the failure here and it is sad to see the lives wasted on a failed effort by the Boy King and his minions!
Who signs the EO to rid our Nation of a failed President!

I have participated in funerals for KIA soldiers for the past 7 years. Doing @ 75. I have also been involved in numerous wounded warrior events. So I have had much contact with active duty military members from all branches of service. Rest assured that Obama is despised by the vast majority of the military.

Does this man not realize that he is responsible for the military?

This would be laughable if not so sad.

Let me satisfy your curiosity.

No. Certainly not for any of my folks who have deployed and seen for themselves the hamstrung ROE.

Remember, this is the assclown who said he was uncomfortable using the word “victory” in a war.

Where we have TRULY fallen short is in the executive branch of the federal government.

We have a kakistocracy.

Has anyone else ever notice how Ubama never "falls short," it's always somebody else who "falls short?"

I don’t think he “falls short” because that would imply some positive effort having been made. If he in fact has made such an effort, which I doubt, he is a failure. A complete, utter, total, abject failure. If his aim, however, is to destroy this country, then I believe he is succeeding.

Agreed that Obama has been very successful in destroying what America is. Recall his first campaign and the promise of “Rebuilding America on a New Foundation”. (You have to tear the old one down first.)

The following link is to an old FR thread, about an even older conservative booklet called “The Revolution Was”, written in 1938 about FDR and the New Deal. It is ALL happening again - amazingly, chillingly so. Only worse.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2185147/posts

An Excerpt:

Worse outwitted were those who kept trying to make sense of the New Deal from the point of view of all that was implicit in the American scheme, charging it therefore with contradiction, fallacy, economic ignorance, and general incompetence to govern....

But it could not be so embarrassed....in the first place, it never intended to make that kind of sense, and secondly, it took off from nothing that was implicit in the American scheme. It took off from a revolutionary base....

Its meaning was revolutionary and it had no other. For what it meant to do it was from the beginning consistent in principle, resourceful, intelligent, masterly in workmanship, and it made not one mistake......

Having passed this crisis, the New Deal went on from one problem to another, taking them in the proper order, according to revolutionary technic; and if the handling of one was inconsistent with the handling of another, even to the point of nullity, that was blunder in reverse.

The effect was to keep people excited about one thing at a time, and divided, while steadily through all the uproar of outrage and confusion a certain end, held constantly in view, was pursued by main intention.

The end held constantly in view was power.
