There is usually a parked Newtown Police cruiser at most schools, but not always. Access into my youngest's school is not as easy for parents, but not difficult and still mostly voluntary (please buzz in and go directly to the front office). From a tactical perspective Newtown schools remain very soft targets for a determined individual(s); the primary reason being that once inside there would still be no resistence.
The superintendent Janet Robinson still sends out vague e-mail updates that specify nothing.

I wonder what his armed security detail thinks.
The left always uses the blood of the innocent. If it cannot find any blood, it will make it. That is who these people are.
No one has seen so much as a blood droplet or broken window at the school, and instead we are fed a bunch of lies and faked emotions from the "survivors."

And for all we know the perpetrator, as crazy as he was, was also anti-gun. Maybe his goal was to perform an act of terrorism so horrible that it would lead to gun control.
We did not need to see the blood or broken glass. We saw the graves. What survivors were faking their emotions? The parents who buried their children?
Someone needs to communicate to Ed Rendell how different things might have been if the Principal had had a handgun in her top drawer and somebody in that office, even the custodian, had had the wherewithal to pull it out and use it and keep the perp busy for just a few minutes until the police arrived.
