Federal report: Warming is changing US daily life

WASHINGTON (AP) — A massive new federal scientific report says global warming is already changing America from sea to rising sea and how Americans live.

The government issued Friday a 1,146-page draft report that details in dozens of ways how climate change is already disrupting the health, homes and other facets of daily American life. It warns that those disruptions will increase in the future.

The blunt report takes a global environmental issue and explains what it means for different U.S. regions, for various sectors of the economy and for future generations.

The National Climate Assessment doesn't say what should be done about global warming. White House science adviser John Holdren writes that it will help leaders, regulators, city planners and even farmers figure out what to do to cope with coming changes.

Wow. Global warming is changing our lives here in the US, and not for the better.

Imagine how bad it'll get when temperatures actually start going up.

Tell me about it.

The government has taken my money to give to "Green" Progressives to disrupt my health and slash the value of my home by building 450 foot whirling middle fingers all over the countryside of the Red States of America to provide us with less than 3% of our electricity needs.

And they plan on doing more of it

It just goes to show you how worthless “Massive Government Studies” are when it comes to actual findings. No raise in Temps for 16 years, but the “Massive Government Study” proved it anyway. And, its only a draft! We can spend many Millions more paying for the “Final” worthless politicaly correct drivel.

Obviously its just another crony scam by the Congressional Mafia to “share the wealth” with their buddies.

"Global warming" is a concept designed specifically to award questionable Nobel prizes; and provide money for questionable projects, along with money for money-hungry disciples.

Forecast for Death Valley temperature for instance, is FREEZING (30F to 32F) this weeekend.

See it at ...

Here in Northern Ohio, temps in the 60s for the next couple days. Back to 30s on Monday. I loved it! No coat today! About 12 years ago, I painted my house during the first two weeks of December. We’d already had a good snowfall in November that year. Just weather! Sometimes it blows from the south, sometimes from Canada. Lake Effect snow. Argh!

I’ve got a bone to pick. It’s supposed to be in the 30’s and 40’s this weekend here in Southern Cal. What’s up. My bronze is fading. I might (that’s might) have to, um. What do you do. Oh yeah. What ever I want.

Global temperatures have not risen for 15 years, that’s a cold, hard fact admitted by even the most ardent global warming enthusiasts (the honest ones at least). So, if our behavior is changing, then something else must be doing the deed. Wonder what that could be? My nomination would be blathering idiots and global warming zealots screaming that the sky is falling.

That's in the valley itself, below sea level. In some parts of Death Valley Nat'l Park it is hovering around zero degrees overnight. And just 40 miles up the road from the northern boundary of the park, it recently hit -27 below.

In 1973 the experts said a new ice age was coming and we would all freeze to death and then the killer bees were coming from Mexico to sting us all to death and on and on the buls__t goes.Meanwhile Al (I am not a homo) Gore drives his Lincoln SUV to the airport to board his private jet to fly somewhere to give a speech about how jets and SUV’s are causing global warming.Meanwhile someone else is warming Tipper. And on it goes.I’m 71-years-old and it makes me think of a line from an old song. “It’s A Barnum And Bailey World,Just As Phoney As It Can Be”.

The report, written by team of 240 scientists, is required every four years by law.

Yeah, well, a budget is required by law, too.

The greatest way Global Warming is changing the way of life in America, is that it is removing any trust the people have in their government. Global warming has ceased for the past 15 years. So we now have the government trying to get people to prepare for warming, while a historic period of Cold Arctic Blasts will be sweeping across the US the next few weeks. Way to go Uncle Sammy. Just when we thought you could not make the situation any worse then you already have.

Jan. 8, 2013: In the galactic scheme of things, the Sun is a remarkably constant star. While some stars exhibit dramatic pulsations, wildly yo-yoing in size and brightness, and sometimes even exploding, the luminosity of our own sun varies a measly 0.1% over the course of the 11-year solar cycle.

There is, however, a dawning realization among researchers that even these apparently tiny variations can have a significant effect on terrestrial climate. A new report issued by the National Research Council (NRC), “The Effects of Solar Variability on Earth’s Climate,” lays out some of the surprisingly complex ways that solar activity can make itself felt on our planet.
Understanding the sun-climate connection requires a breadth of expertise in fields such as plasma physics, solar activity, atmospheric chemistry and fluid dynamics, energetic particle physics, and even terrestrial history.

No single researcher has the full range of knowledge required to solve the problem. To make progress, the NRC had to assemble dozens of experts from many fields at a single workshop. The report summarizes their combined efforts to frame the problem in a truly multi-disciplinary context.........
