If President Obama were to break the impasse with Republicans over raising the debt limit by taking unilateral action, such a move would have the potential to set off a firestorm of controversy and spark a protracted legal battle.

Top Senate Democrats say, go for it.

The White House has dismissed talk that Obama would rely on unusual measures to raise the nation's debt limit without Congress' approval, but administration officials also have warned that the country could default on its debt and trigger a new economic crisis if lawmakers don't increase the limit on borrowing.

On EVERY issue we see the DNC feels that the Constitution can be set aside.

Well, I guess our biggest issue is what time Dancing with the liberals starts- so we deserve all that has happened to us.

Top democrats beg to be removed from office for ceding their authority to the emperor thereby denying their constituents their lawful representation.

Harry Reid tells his constituents "Represent this you stinkin serfs".

“Top Senate Democrats...”

“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”.

Just because the residents of a particular State or District keep sending their same old faux royalty Congress critters back term after term does NOT make him/her/it any better or more important than those elected by other States or Districts.

Congressional seniority is as much a detriment to the Republic as is the lack of term limits.

I think we should ask every democrat whether they support this. Those that do should not be forgotten.

What does it matter John Boehner is going to cave anyway?

As for that Federal Constitution the Federal employees in Black robes have already deemed it their own hammer to be used upon us not themselves or their appointing masters.

The Democrats are right, there is no federal Constitution anymore. Because there is nobody outside of our States both willing & able to enforce it.

“These tyrannical douche bags have no respect whatsoever for those of us on the Right.”

I think many of them hate us as much as we are coming to hate them. What they blame us for I can’t quite comprehend yet. I can only imagine we are guilty of being a thorn in their progressive efforts to make Government Slaves of the lot of us.

Whatever it is, that we have done to earn their ire, I know they have done far too much in the way of thief, deception, and oppression to earn our resentment, mistrust, and I dare say even hate.

None of that of course really matter in my opinion anymore. I think we are beyond the point of reconciliation. Our desires are too far apart to be compromised, and the time to look towards a separation is upon us.

The question is will the left recognize their own hate and its intrinsic demand for their own separation, or will they wage war to hang on upon that which they so bitterly resent?

If 0bama does this, all bonds issued henceforth will be 0bamabonds, or 0-bonds for short. His action will be contested in the courts and in the meantime, no one can say that they have the ‘full faith and credit of the USA’, because 0 alone is not the government. The markets and credit agencies will not react favorably, and another crash is possible.

Just a bunch of words, pre-imperial presidency stuff written by dead, white guys:

US Constitution, Section. 8.

“The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States;”

If we had a real opposition party, they would have challenged this vigorously, loudly and frequently. However, what we have is a bunch of shy, cooperative, laid back fellas who are trying to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible.

“such a move would have the potential to set off a firestorm of controversy and spark a protracted legal battle.”

Alternatively, such a move would also have the potential to set off a restoration revolution to restore original principles of the free republic, and spark a protracted gun battle.
