0bama and the Progressives do not care about hundreds of Black children dying each year in Chicago, by handgun toting criminals.
Play the race, and hit back twice as hard
Demonstrations accomplish nothing.
The only tactic is to hit legislators at all levels and make damned sure that they know that if they vote for ANY restrictions on hardware or expanding background checks, that they WILL be targeted for defeat. Write, phone, visit, and beat them to death with voter power.
The only thing keeping the current flap is going the media. The larger populous has pretty much already written the Newton incident off.
Simple solution at the stae level, activate each states militia if they ever had one, arm and train the people. The feds cannot touch any states militia.
Sure they can. The feds can nationalize state militia. They do it all the time. In fact George Washington commissioned the Foxwell militia from the Eastern shore of MD to protect DC.
It should be manifestly obvious to thew most casual obsever that the purpose of gun control is to disarm the citizenry, not to stop shootings.
Los Angeles, New York, DC and Chicago have draconian guns laws. They also have the highest rates of murder by gun of all cities in the world.
When victims cannot defend themselves they die. Gun control absolutely guarantees increased homocide by gun. That is clearly the state’s intent.
The National Guard is NOT the "state militia". Most states no longer have a separate militia, but some do (Texas is one that has).
