I’m 5’3” and 100 lbs.

“Brute force” is something I’m never going to have.

When I was very young, my prison guard dad actually said “Since you’re a runt, you’re gonna have to fight dirty to survive” and then he proceeded to teach me all the nasty tricks that inmates know.

It was rather a ‘non-normal childhood’ but all my gal pals felt safe as could be when we went bar hopping.

The preferred place was at my right side where an empty beer bottle waited patiently on the floor.

:)

A poorly concealed weapon, that!

I know *one* person who was killed by a gun.
[suicide]

I know [or rather, knew] several people who were killed by vehicles.

Bizarrely, I do not feel a need to ban cars.

I’m not even going to say what those look like. And they’re for young girls, right? *shakes head*

Broken glass bottles next on the list.

At the time of the drafting of the constitution, they had quill pens that had to be frequently dipped in ink. The government should ban high capacity automatic cartridge and ball points. French made Bic pens are particularly deadly.

And the killing was obviously inspired by violent movies. Let’s blame the producers of “Grosse Point Blank” for including a horrific pen killing.

LOL. FWIW, that image *did* indeed show up on a google image search for “pen locks”.

Pens have been used to rob more people of more money than guns. Just look at all the stimulus and entitlement laws.

It's obvious the Founding Fathers never intended the people at large to be armed with anything more modern than a turkey quill pen!

lol Maybe it’s that awareness. I’ve never known a petite woman (both my grandmothers & numerous friends mom’s. Heh. My little sister) who wasn’t hell on wheels if you got on their bad side. Isn’t it awful to even have to contemplate this stuff?
Life was supposed to be more peaceful by now.

“... any accelerants lying about her computer desk”.

Oh dear... I am a goner. A Bic lighter is about two feet away from the pen. Dear me... I’ll be hiding under the computer desk till help arrives.

Same with me..I don’t know anybody who was killed by a gun but I know a LOT who were killed by cars and one who drowned on vacation in Puerto Rico. I know so many people who were killed by cars sometimes I don’t believe it myself. One friend was killed on a motorcycle (a lady pulled out of a side street in front of him and when he tried to avoid her he went into oncoming traffic) then 4 I knew in Germany were killed when they slammed underneath a pickup truck. I had a cousin killed on the Long Island expressway 25 years ago, an uncle killed driving a tractor trailer in 1980 (he fell asleep and went down a ditch and the trailer flipped and crushed his cab)...I even witnessed 4 people at once get hit by a car going 50 miles and hour on Hempstead turnpike around 1972, all of them where killed. Their kid ran out into the highway (at night no less) and when his family ran after him that was all she wrote. I remember the noise and the bodies flying and the kid who was actually still alive in the street trying to get up.

That’s how vicious cars are. Any talk of banning those? Nope! Any talk of restricting who can drive? Nope!

This proves to me that this is not about gun control at all but people control which makes their attempts at gun control all the more dangerous. People need to wake up to that NOW or this country is going to be absolute hell on earth to live in.

I’ve had several friends die early. One by small arms fire (in combat). One by blunt force trauma (a tire iron in a parking lot). One by stabbing (a four inch blade). One by suicide (poorly disguised as a motorcycle accident). One in an inner tubing (snow) mishap. One from leukemia. I’d gladly ban leukemia.

Wow that is nasty. I never knew anybody who died like that, and I live and grew up in New York city which is bizarre. Lucky I guess. Everybody I know was killed by vehicles except the one who drowned. If we had a real and impartial media they would focus on the statistics of all that instead of constantly pushing leftist agendas, but like I said before: We have a communist propaganda machine instead of a media that is hellbent on destroying this country and instituting a new order: Mainly the government ordering every aspect of a persons life. It’s pretty much like that now here in NYC under Despot Mike Bloomberg whose latest decree is that hospitals can only issue pain pills no more than 3 days. So in other words if a fireman gets badly burned and is in agony, he can only receive pain medication for 3 days under Despot Bloomberg orders. After that he must live in agony 24 hours a day while they do skin grafts and skin scrubbing on him.
