The basics are as the headline suggests: Even some senior editors at the Times are rumored to be on the chopping block in an effort to cut costs, and the rest of the media is worried, because the Times already slashed staff in 2009 and so was thought to be relatively trim.
The Times has already announced up to 30 layoffs, if it couldn't secure that many voluntary separations through buy-outs, but only a few people have taken that offer. So as of January 24th come the involuntary layoffs.

They have been on the dole for several years thanks to the King and his endless treasury. Perhaps the NYT’s would be better off buying ad’s from the NRA and the Tea Party. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of commies.
For years they have been selling off bits and pieces..there is nothing left..they can’t give away the Boston Globe..
I wouldn’t even bother wiping my a** with this rag. Never mind the fact it is usually loaded with s**t as it is.

Over 80% of New York Slimes stock is owned by mutual fund companies or investement companies. Does your IRA/401 K own this loser via a loser mutual fund?
From the chart above it appears that some rich liberals bailed the Slimes out after May 12, 2012 so it could campaign for Obozo.
Then they sold 8,817,600 shares on 24 October after they felt the Slimes had lied and misrepresented enough reelect their favorite Oreo. That massive sell off was the kiss of pending death to the stupid mutual fund owners with NYT as a major holding.
Good. May the rag go out of business.
They can work for Drudge...?
Piers Morgan can make coffee for Alex Jones.
I wonder if they get the cruel irony of the people and policies they lied and propagandized for in the end are the very same people and policies that led to them being unemployed.
Maybe it will dawn on them when their 99 weeks of unemployment run out and the only “job” they can get is writing on Billionaire Arianna Huffington’s blog for free.
Shouldn’t they be able to get a loan from their fellow Fabians? A loan of our money of course.
