Alex Jones Responds to ‘Despicable’ Glenn Beck, Has Another Screaming Fit on HuffPost Live
The Blaze ^ | 1-11-13 | Jason Howerton

Posted on 01/12/2013 9:53:00 AM PST by Mozilla

Radio host and noted conspiracy theorist Alex Jones responded to Glenn Beck’s criticisms on HuffPost Live Friday, saying he is a “despicable person” like Piers Morgan who thinks his audience is “stupid” and has no ideological consistency.

With his sights set on Beck, Jones argued that he had promoted torture and “taken all the stuff” he has written and “neo-con’d it” only to release it later under his name.

“So he’s mad that I’m getting on hundreds of stations. He’s mad I’m getting attention. I’m not here trying to be numero uno like Glenn Beck; I’m here trying to save our Bill of Rights and Constitution,” Jones said.

Jones also found a conspiracy within Beck’s libertarian views. He said Beck only became a libertarian because he “knows the Republican Party is dying,” and because “most Americans call themselves libertarians,” he wants to “brand it so that he’s the leader and he’s the head of libertarians.”

“It’s Glenn Beck that has promoted torture,” Jones continued...

Later in the HuffPost Live interview, Jones began screaming after getting a little too “fired up about liberty.”

The ranting and screaming tactic was invented by the Left. They use it effectively. It's obnoxious, but in the hands of a skilled Leftist, it comes across as "passioned".

When a Republican does it, people just see it as violent, out of control, angry and ineffective.

We are weak when we respond this way. I think pundits should know that. I think people like Jones are doing more harm than good.

I would support quiet scorn and ridicule as a better approach. Openly declare that the Left cares about themselves and their own feelings and are not trying to help anyone. Scornfully insult them, sure, -- but there is no reason to shout.

Sorry, but Alex Jones is a truther nut.

Jones goes on Morgan’s show and made gun owners look like crackpots. Someone like Ben Shapiro goes on and makes Piers Morgan look like an ignorant buffoon.

Everything Alex Jones does or says is tainted by his insane, disgusting conspiracy theories.

That’s exactly why they interviewed Alex Jones.

He’s right about some things but that doesn’t mean he’s the face we want out there representing us.

Would that include the day Jones called Michelle Malkin a "little monster" and a "piece of trash"?

I think both of these gentlemen need to stop attaching each other, and start opposing those who would destroy our Constitution.

Good grief.

Stop it. Both of you. Attack the real problems.

Could you imagine of John Boehner were this passionate about our republic ? Or ANY person that we voted in ?

If Boehner sounded "passionate" like Alex Jones? He'd be voted out of office. And the same thing would apply to actual Tea Party conservatives too. You realize most people hear someone like Jones ranting and think "crazy person". And they'd be right too, Jones is a loony conspiracy nut.

Yes, I reiterate. I’ll stand with Alex Jones anyday.

Yeah? So you think Bush authorized 9-11? You think George Bush is committed treason? You think the US government knocked down WT7 with a bomb? Or maybe you think Israel did it? That's the kind of crazy nonsense Alex Jones stands for.

Me too.

That's because you are a conspiracy theorist just like Alex Jones. I didn't want to get too bogged down in the crazy, but a quick glance at your recent posts suggests you also think there is some kind of bizarre conspiracy surrounding the Sandy Hook shootings.

CONTROLLED MEDIA Alex Jones: The 3 Reason Judge Napolitano Was Fired From Fox Business

This video was mostly stupid. And yeah, if Napolitano is pushing 9-11 truther garbage then naturally Fox News is going to want him to have a smaller footprint on their network. The Fox News audience is mostly moderate Republican to conservative, not so much libertarian - and certainly not a population that is going to buy into vicious claims that Bush is a traitor who authorized 9-11. It is no shock that Fox wants to devote less airtime to libertarians and conspiracy theorists. They basically got rid of Beck altogether. Judge Napolitano is still a regular guest from what I've seen. If he feels Fox News wronged him somehow, he certainly isn't making a big deal about it that I've seen.

Look, it's one thing to think outside of the box and develop alternate theories and subject them to scrutiny, quite another to go around babbling about half baked conspiracies that are simply not supported by the totality of the evidence available. The problem with conspiracy guys like Alex Jones is that everything that doesn't fit into their worldview is suddenly a nefarious plot organized by "globalists". It's just weird and it makes anything associated with him look batcrap crazy. Jones did us no favors on Piers Morgan the other night. Made our side look insane. On the other hand, Ben Shapiro argued the 2nd amendment effectively and made Morgan look like a buffoon.

I'm surprised there isn't a law in the U.S. covering, "Almost assaulted". Maybe they'll concoct a new law this year, followed by, "Mean tone" and "Threatening look" laws to go along with the "almost assaulted" charges.

General response to everyone who replied to my message of standing with Alex Jones:

if you dig deep enough, everyone will have some aspect of their beliefs that you won’t agree with. The point right now is not 9/11, is not Mormonism, and is not conspiracy theory. The point right now is the complete alteration of our country into a socialist nightmare - The end of the american dream.

Lets get that out of the way first, then we can move on to the other debate - Where I will surely back up another person who agrees with my outlook on life.

We are here at Free Republic to maintain our free republic. Lots of you may be anti-semitic, may be racist, or may be conspiracy theorist. That’s not what this site is about, and I stand beside, in front of, and behind of any of you as well.

Our mission is clear, at the moment. Save the republic. Alex Jones may have done nothing but screaming, but he knows how to deal with the Enemy. You keep hitting them, and hitting them with no let-up. Salvo after Salvo because the CNN news-reader is going to only ask you questions phrased in such a way to make you look foolish.

I’m done negotiating with anti-americans. I’m out of breath discussing stats, mathematical probabilities of voting turn-outs, election results, legal orders, crime statistics, and history with these people. They will never convert. Their brains are simply mush.

That would be called attempted assault. If it weren’t for her bodyguard who stepped between them, it looks as though he would have pushed her down. If you’ve seen the video the bodyguard took the brunt of his shoving.

..and in reality, I’m not even talking about the legal aspect, just that he is not our friend in this fight. He is just as much the enemy as the gun grabbers. He is a useful idiot used to paint our side of the issue as freaks.

I took a long glance at your posts. You’re an atheist lib.

Nothing ever bad to say about the left. Plenty to say against the Christianity and how the Conservatives need to be more like Liberals.

You before the 2010 midterms trying to pump up Obama and shoot down republicans:

“Sorry, but Dick Morris is full of crap. Just completely full of it.

This is the guy who spent a year telling everyone the election in 2008 would be Condi versus Hillary. I wonder how that book is selling now.

It’s great that Morris has thrown all in with the GOP, but his predictions tend to be awful and the numbers of pickups he is claiming the Republicans will make have been downright silly.

On Tuesday night he is going to either look like a super sage or an utter buffoon due to some of these predictions - I am betting the later. Yes, it will be a good night for Republicans, but nothing even close to what Morris is predicting. Obama’s approval ratings alone are too high (RCP average 46.3) to justify his dart throw predictions of 70-80 seat House pickups and 10 Senate pickups.”

And nothing ever bad to say about Obama, Pelosi, Reid or any other Rat.

And there is more if others care to look.

You’re an atheist lib.

I am a Roman Catholic and a conservative. I often disagree with Longbow1969. OTOH, I have no knowledge of his faith and not a lot of specific knowledge of his political views.

Personally, I think Alex Jones is an embarrassing nincompoop whose ridiculous fairy tales and conspiracies are easily exploited by conservatism's enemies and the enemies of this nation to smear defenders of the republic.

IIRC, Jones is not only a 9/11 Truther but also claims that the Pentagon was not struck by the airliner carrying Ted Olson's late wife Barbara Olson but rather by a missile. A tiny fringe of people (primarily one family) who attend the Church I attend are committed Alex Jones partisans and share many of his delusions. They are nice folks but very wrong. Alex Jones is just verrrrry wrong.

We need to purge the GOP of the GOP-E before anything we say about Demonrats is relevant. I trust that I have established a track record here as anything but an atheist or a liberal.

Alex Jones is Ron Paul (El Run Paulie) on his worst day on steroids. It is evident that we miss Bill Buckley and his ability to summarily run eccentrics and kooks out of the conservative movement (Randians, Birchers, Conspiracy Nuts, Single Taxers, Students Wildly Indignant About Nearly Everything [S.W.I.N.E., thank you, Al Capp], etc.).

Bill Buckley once referenced the anti-Vietnam War Movement as a public exercise in ideological masturbation. Likewise, obsessing over the Demonrats without having an actual political party to call our own with which to oppose the Demonrats. If I despise Obozo, Biden, Reid and Pelosi as certainly I do, the answer is not Mittler and such spineless unprincipled and $$$ obsessive Establishmentarian weathervanes as Weepy John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell any more than the answer is El Run Paulie, Alex Jones, David Duke or others of their respective ilks.

What are you babbling about. That post is actually quite accurate.

Dick Morris is full of crap, just as I said. Heck, the guy just predicted Romney would win comfortably. In 2010 he was predicting the Republicans would win upward of 70-80+ (he was actually talking about upward of 100) House seats and 10 Senate seats, we didn't come anywhere close that. We ended with 63 House pickups and 6 Senate seats, which is much more inline with what most experts were predicting (the consensus was generally mid 50's in the House and about 6-7 Senate seats).

I took a long glance at your posts. You’re an atheist lib.

LOL. I am most certainly neither of those things and if that is what you got out of my posts, then your dimmer than I expected. You just reposted an old comment of mine which demonstrates I was right.

Look man, you're a conspiracy nut. You're a follower of Alex Jones who is mostly banned on this site and almost every other serious conservative outlet. There's just not a lot more that need be said. Alex Jones is a disgrace. That you associate with him makes you a disgrace in my book too.

PS - there's no Sandy Hook conspiracy. Will the Democrats try to take advantage of it? Sure. Does that mean Democrats, "globalists", neo-cons, Israel, Jews, the Bilderberg Group, the Defense Establishment, FEMA camp guards, etc, conspired to kill a bunch of kids to ban guns? Most certainly not.

And now you’re a liar just like your pal Obama.

“Asked if he is predicting that Republicans will win 100 seats in the House, Morris tells Newsmax: “I’m not predicting 100, I’m predicting 60 to 80. But I fantasize 100, and I think that fantasy may come true.”

You: “Yes, it will be a good night for Republicans, but nothing even close to what Morris is predicting.”

Hey dumb f, 63 is between 60 and 80.

It wasn’t a “good night”, the House turnover was historic azzhat. Besides, why would you trying raining on his parade on a conservative blog dumbazz? (hint... you’re a lib.) Oh.. but “Obama’s approval ratings alone are too high (RCP average 46.3)” Right, you worship Obama.

“Umm, I don’t believe Santorum is electable and I wish Newt had stayed in. So? What of it?”

I’m right.

You're a conspiracy nut. Period. You're someone who backs Alex Jones, the same Alex Jones that is largely banned right here on FR. The same truther Alex Jones who believes 9-11 is a government plot. That you believe that sick stuff blares loudly to everyone that you aren't too bright.

The stuff you are cutting and pasting from my past posts simply shows that I was right. The 2010 election wasn't just about House seats you dimwit, there were also a lot of Senate seats up for grabs and Morris predicted we'd win 10 and take the Senate.

Hey dumb f, 63 is between 60 and 80.

Listen, I don't know if your brain is this addled because of all the goofy conspiracies you buy into, but the 2010 election came out about how most analysts figured. The consensus was generally mid 50's for House seats and about 6-7 Senate seats. We won a few more House seats than most predicted, and equal or just a little less on the Senate side. Morris was wrong. He was predicting far more. You pull one quote from Newsmax where idiot Dick Morris says he thinks his fantasy of 100 may come true, but he was pointing to the possibility of 100 on Fox many times. Do you not know what a buffoon Morris is? Or that his predictions tend to be horribly wrong? I mean, come one, this is the guy who wrote that ridiculous Condi versus Hillary book.

Then just leave it at that azzhat

Why? I can leave it anything I want you conspiracy loon. I don't think Santorum can win a national general election. Nor do I want a nominee telling us why he believes contraception is "not okay". We are electing a president, not a priest. I look to the church for spiritual guidance, not elected officials.

Dude not only are you a nitwit who spouts Sandy Hook conspiracies and actually believes the drivel Alex Jones spews, you are not good at this debate stuff. At least if you're going to go digging back through posts that are years and years old, find something I was actually wrong about.

I think Alex Jones is still pissed about Beck and his crew making fun of him for sucking up to Charlie Sheen a couple of years ago. I happened to catch Beck’s show that day and I believe it was the funniest 10 or 15 minutes of radio I have ever heard. They had a lot of fun at Jones’ expense and if Jones heard it I don’t think he would ever forget it.

Why would you try raining on his parade on a conservative blog? You think you’re helping? Then you must have a mental disorder (lib).

Because this is reality land. Most of us just don't accept what some crank who is habitually wrong, like Dick Morris, has to say. I know you believe idiots like Alex Jones even though they spout silly nonsense, but in the real world serious people don't continually fall for stuff like that. You do know Dick Morris is a bit of a joke around here now, right? He's wrong so much people point it out all the time, like I did.

But Santorum isn’t a priest. He’s a man with a moral opinion that you don’t like. So what? You think he would have outlawed all contraceptives by executive order? Are you that dumb?

Are you seriously this daft? Santorum is a man who declared as President that he wanted to raise the issue of contraception and tell the American people why it's "not okay". That is the not the kind of nominee we need. No, he isn't going to ban anything, but a nominee like that would lose in a spectacular landslide and is not someone we want as a presidential candidate. Many conservatives agree that Rick would be a terrible nominee. Santorum will never be the GOP nominee, and that's a good thing.

Look, you're a conspiracy nut. Even in your recent posts that is apparent. I mean, you've been trying to argue some kind of loopy conspiracy theory around Sandy Hook. Your hero Alex Jones is pretty much banned here. Your crazy conspiracy theories are mostly deleted on sight. It's also amusing how you avoid trying to defend any of these insane conspiracy theories of yours on this thread. You fail dude. InfoWars is probably a better place for you, though I'd suggest a psychiatrist if you're looking to get well.

LOL, like I said, you’re a nutter. Your post isn’t even coherent. Maybe you should go back to obsessing over the “globalist” neo-con 9-11 conspiracy that Alex Jones blathers about. Tell me, do you think Bush personally planted the bomb in WT7? Or was it Israel? Or the Bilderberg Group? Man you believe in some sick, twisted stuff.

>>Look, you’re a conspiracy nut.<<

And you’re a lib atheist Obama supporter who has yet to deny it. You should have left well enough alone.

Let’s go on the FreeRepublic Record:

1. I hate President Obama. I believe he has committed treason and should be impeached.

2. I hate Nancy Pelosi. I believe she has been and is the worst House majority/minority speaker ever. I believe she may have dementia.

3. I hate Harry Reid. I believe he is the worst Senate majority speaker ever. I believe he may have dementia.

Your turn. And since it’s for the record please use proper names in your response. No obozos or odumbos or anything like that.

Actually I did when you called me an atheist lib, but your accusation is just a bunch of childish nonsense.

I'm not calling you a conspiracy theorists simply as an insult, you REALLY are a conspiracy loon. You like Alex Jones, someone who is mostly banned here. You realize that, right? This thread is about Alex Jones responding to Beck. You are a declared Alex Jones supporter and conspiracy theorist. You are simply trying avoid a discussion about your nutty conspiracy theories because you know that stuff gets banned here when found.

1. I hate President Obama. I believe he has committed treason and should be impeached.

I hate Obama because he is an effective tool for the left. He is succeeding at pushing the country in a terrible direction. Impeachment is not going to happen. Pushing for impeachment is idiotic. Not only is it not going to happen, it makes any conservatives associated with it look crazy. Then again, you support Alex Jones so you probably don't mind sound insane.

2. I hate Nancy Pelosi. I believe she has been and is the worst House majority/minority speaker ever. I believe she may have dementia

Yes, Pelosi is a clown. She is not likable and we are lucky that she is the face of the Democrats in the House. We'd have a more difficult fight if they picked someone less irritating. No, I don't think she has dementia.

3. I hate Harry Reid. I believe he is the worst Senate majority speaker ever. I believe he may have dementia.

Reid is bad like every other Democrat Senate leader. A lot of Reid's failures, like the failure to pass a budget, are Democrat strategies. This stuff he does is by design in close consultation with the White House. No, I don't think he has dementia. Not sure what your obsession with dementia is, but I doubt either Reid or Pelosi have it.

All you are doing is trying to change the subject. Every one of your posts is an effort to do just that. You are a supporter of Alex Jones. Alex Jones is largely banned here and is a sick and twisted person. You are a conspiracy theorist. Most of the conspiracies you believe in, thankfully, are deleted on sight here and on most responsible conservative forums. Alex Jones is a truther. You are a truther who doesn't believe "the official" story and thinks there is some conspiracy behind WT7. Do you think George Bush blew up WT7? Or maybe Israel? Was it "globalists"? Perhaps the Bilderberg Group. Come on now, lets hear your foul, sick, accusations against the Bush administration or whoever else you think is "really" behind 9-11.

Tool? Urban dictionary tool?

One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used.

So Obama is being used. Are you a conspiracy nut?

Pushing for impeachment is not the same as saying you believe Obama committed treason and should be impeached. I’m not a House member.

I’m trying to get at your personal belief of President Obama.

So... Do you believe President Obama has committed treason and should be impeached. Yes or No?

All politicians are individuals, but also tools of an ideology. Though it was Hillary’s “turn”, a majority of Democrat caucus and primary voters realized Obama was the greater weapon. With BHO, the left gets a guy who can make far left positions come across as reasonable to a majority of Americans. Don’t underestimate how important that is. He has the communication skills to make radical look reasonable - at least to a majority (which is increasingly made up of non producers). Obama is a skilled orator and takes the edge off scary positions that the population might have otherwise fiercely rejected. This is not a compliment of Obama, it’s a recognition of what we are up against.

This country is in a lot of trouble and the right is going to have to find a way to unite as some kind of credible opposition - and put our best candidates and ideas forward. We don’t have time for a bunch of Alex Jones crazy conspiracy talk. Here’s a good example. Alex Jones was on with Piers Morgan the other night and came off as a mentally unstable crazy person. He did the 2nd amendment no favors and made gun rights folk look bad. Ben Shapiro went on the same show a few nights later and calmly, rationally made Piers Morgan look like a dope. We need far less Alex Jones types, and far more Ben Shapiro’s representing the opposition to the left.

Yeah... that must be why the House turned hard right in 2010. Because “Obamacare” appeared reasonable to a majority of Americans... jeez
