Deaf people are just going to have to live with some "reasonable" restrictions and people that want to cut their meat at dinner should realize that for the common good, their knives have to be registered in a National Knife Database.
If you have ever seen a counselor, ever had trouble in your marriage, ever had an alcohol problem, then you should be banned from having a kitchen knife.
No focus should be on the criminal here. He is a victim too.

I was headed south and started to pull in a convenience store for gas and just to strech my legs. Just east of Albany, Ga. There were some rather large African american gentlemen leaning on their cars by the curb. They are “throwing” gang signs! Hell, I don’t know what it means but it can’t be good cause they sure are signing a bunch! I’m pretty uneasy but the pumps are a ways away so I figure I’ll just keep an eye on them.
I open the door and that is when I realize what is going on. Yep, I’ve crossed into the dreaded “gnat line”. Swarms of them. And the guys were, of course, just swatting gnats.
Hey, he yelled at them to stop, but they would not listen!
I remember reading some years ago the same thing happened to another deaf man in another part of the US. That time he was shot by a gang member. Maybe they should ban the use of sign language./s
