The Blaze reported recently that Vice President Joe Biden "guaranteed" to ailing Boston Mayor Tom Menino that sweeping gun control legislation would be passed by the end of January.
How sweeping?
A quick look at Feinstein's semi-auto ban legislation suggests that up to 75% of all handguns currently in circulation would be banned, along with as much as 50% of all long guns.
Depending on its configuration, the AR-15's already in circulation would be treated like machine guns. The owner would have to be fingerprinted, background checked by the FBI, and undergo a six-month license application process to keep it. And when he died, the government will seize it.
If the owner didn't get an NFA license, he could expect the SWAT teams to descend on his house. etc...

Let me help y’all out. You are operating under the mistaken belief that anyone in the Congress gives a rat’s patootie about what you think.
They don’t.
Under this POTUS, the rule of law is dead and the Constitution has been shredded. The sooner y’all understand that, the sooner we can begin to make plans for the reality of what America has become over the past 4 years and stop living in the 80s under Reagan!
More likely is that several States will begin to ignore Federal Laws leading to a Constitutional crisis. It does seem to be coming...

I remember the NG with no rounds. I KNOW BeeHOe will not make that mistake. Just take a look at the ammo acquisitions the Ratz have made in the last year. It’s startling.
We are on uncharted territory here. It could go either way.
As for the military, I can’t guess what the newbies would do, but I’m fairly confident about the veterans. In God and Veterans I trust. Let the commie pigs worry about how it will go.
But my point is this: if a crowd with weapons shows up, (I will NOT be one) I personally don’t think they are going to be willing to give up their weapons.
Unfortunately, it will most likely be ugly. And that’s not our doing.

I wouldn’t count on that.
It -will- pass the Senate. We’re seeing the beginning of a cave and capitulation by Senate Republicans, and it won’t matter because if the filibuster is removed, it will pass the Senate easily (even if Republicans there were united against it).
By the time it gets that far, the momentum will be established and the pressure will be on in the House. I would reckon that so much heat is going to be applied to House democrats, that we may see 95% or more of them vote for passage, irregardless of their previous “NRA ratings”. Once that becomes clear, there may be enough pressure brought to bear upon the weaker House Republicans, that Obama may pick off enough of them to eke out a bare majority.
I’d give gun control a 50-50 chance of getting through Congress right now. If the ‘rats and the media can maintain the barrage, those odds may tip in their favor.
Not the best scenario, but that’s how I see it. I’ll happily eat the crow if things go the other way.
A side note: went to a gun shop on Rt. 15 near Berlin, Connecticut today, and the parking lot was so jammed we couldn’t even get into the driveway — they had a cop there directing traffic inside the parking lot!
Yep, that's the right answer and the place to start.
Maybe God will change their and our hearts and minds and move us back and away from crossing these lines in the sand if we ask.
No way He wants us to do what we will do to each other if we continue down this path, not when He told us to love each other.

Depends on how patient you can be. I had some ammo in my "shopping cart" at one of the online vendors, just before Christmas. I crossed my fingers when the news about Sandy Hook hit, hoping to be able to wait until after the holidays to place that order.
That item now reads: Backorder Only; ETA: October, 2013.

Are you sure it's a good idea to send emails? I think a letter would be more effective. To dash off an Internet missive takes little time and preparation. OTOH, a letter does and I think it has a bigger impact.
Erasing an email is also quickly done. Throwing a letter away is another matter.
Just my opinion.

You know what I’m thinking could be a strategy. The House and Senate vote for The bill in the affirmative and Barry vetoes it.
So it comes back to Congress where both houses vote for it again only this time there are enough votes to over ride the Veto and 2/3rds approve the bill, Barry goes on TV, does a head feignt and says “Well it is the will of the people, who have overwhelmingly voted for this sensible control and I will answer the American People and sign this into legislation”.
What’s sickening right now is even my Leftard brother thinks AR’s and certain other arms are going to get Pelosied.
I remain optimistic not much will be done. They risk a shooting war if they take Pelosi’s legislation.

How this plays out over the next month or two will be telling in how far Zero and his minions are prepared to go with their agenda and whether or not they think they can get away with killing the People into submission. What was the real fallout from Waco and Ruby Ridge?

Telephone calls, if you can get through to the right person in the senator’s or representative’s office who is overlooking the particular issue, are better. That is for sure.

Actually, we have had a Constitutional crisis for the past 4 years. Our government, as it operates today, is irreparably broken and cannot be fixed at the ballot box.
So, you are correct. How the states respond to the continued ignorance and usurpation of our Constitutional rights is the key. The RINOpublican governors appear to be waiting to see who blinks first.
That trickery was done when they had a majority in the House. They don’t this time around.
