A mentally challenged 15-year-old girl was gang-raped beneath her desk during class — only feet away from her teachers — at an Elmont, N.Y., school, according to a lawsuit filed Friday. When the girl reported the horrific incident the next day, school officials failed to report it, the victim’s mother claimed in the suit.

The special-needs teen, known by the initials K.J., was allegedly sexually assaulted for 10 minutes under her desk by two teenage boys, as another “hit her on the head whenever she tried to escape,” during science class at Martin De Porres Academy, claims the lawsuit

Martin De Porres executive director Ed Dana said the school conducted an internal investigation as soon as it heard of the abuse and fired a teacher as a result.

Fired? Fired! Why isn't that teacher in prison???

"We want the community to know that we hold our teachers to a high standard.

Can someone say this again with a straight face???

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of the children in our care," Dana said in a statement.

That Dana could say this after this event suggests Dana should be die in the death of a thousand cuts while being tanted every second.

"...only feet away from the teacher."

Give me a break. Read all the activity that was going on by all involved, including dancing on the desk.

That teacher could be deaf, dumb and blind and still couldn't miss what was going on.

Something is rotten in Denmark......

I’d like to hear the teacher’s side of this story. To have all these delinquent youth in a single classroom with this low-IQ girl sounds completely unreasonable, unless there was in-classroom support. I’ve had the experience of teaching 26 teenage boys and 2 girls in one classroom in a rough urban setting. It’s pretty hard to get any real teaching done, and staying on top of conduct is also very difficult. If this teacher was the only adult in the classroom, it may have been an overwhelming and chaotic setting on a pretty regular basis. If kids were dancing on desks and assaulting a classmate, I’d be taking a hard look at what admin was doing to support teachers and to deal with misconduct in the building. I don’t hold the teacher blameless by any means, but I’d want to understand the broader situation. Teachers don’t operate in a vacuum.

Bloomberg was too busy making sure the soda machines did not carry any bottles more than 8 ounces.

They want to know who should never be permitted to have a weapon ? Here are two of them ; mark them for the "no can have weapon" database right here and now. And if they are ever found with a weapon, shoot them down like the dogs that they are !

OR should they not just be shot down now, and rid the gene pool of these sick sleeze balls !!

“My God, where is Bloomberg? “

Probably in New York City, where he is the mayor. He isn’t the governor of NY State.

This is Elmont, NY. On Long Island. Bloomberg has no jurisdiction there.

I have some friends with a special needs daughter. She’s a sweet girl. If anyone ever sexually abused her I’d have no problem with the death penalty for them. Heck, I’d even help her Dad implement it. Seeing as how he’s an ex Marine Corps fighter pilot - not a breed of cat known to be indecisive nor especially forgiving - I’m pretty sure he’d be up for that.

Sounds completely normal to me. Remember, this happened in a concentrated Democrat parasite nest ("city") where the government schools are little more than pre-prison, institutional acclimation facilities that double as daytime warehouses to keep kids off the streets and out of retail stores.

My Family lived in the Elmont / Valley Stream area of Long Island in the 50’s. We moved to CA when I was a child.

Needless to say, the old place isn’t what it used to be.

It can be really hard teaching in an inner city high school. I wonder how big and strong this teacher was, a male or a female. My husband, 6 foot, unarmed combat teacher in the military taught high school in that kind of setting. Really physically exhausting, mentally exhausting, but the fact that he was a college wrestler sparing partner to an Olympic Heavyweight contender meant he could throw a hammerlock on an unruly student and frog march them down to the principals office if need be. On a related subject and comment below, imagine if this teacher had a hand gun and the delinquents in class were able to take it away from the teacher. Something to think about as suggestions are made.
