There were 405 Coalition deaths in Afghanistan in 2012. 310 of the 405 deaths were Americans.
Meanwhile in Chicago… There were 532 homicides in 2012.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel attributes the rise in homicides, in part, to the broader problem of illegal guns.

Yes, it’s those guns, NOT democrat rule for decades nor the unconscionable culture that passes for civilization.
And while I’m at it, never mind those Chicago government schools, ruled by that Teacher’s Union we witnessed in 2012. To say they’re overpaid, is a gross understatement and a complete waste of taxpayer money.

What? Sooo, criminals blowing other people away on the American street *in excess of a war zone* is of no concern, but the relatively rare incidence of a lone lunatic going on a shooting spree is such a problem that no one should have a gun.

Actually, Chicago is a lovely city. I worked at a major University (UIC) for years, amongst other jobs I held when young down in Chicago (I’m retired in the western burbs). All of the mayhem is taking place in certain areas of the city (primarily the south side), and as long as you stay out of those bad areas, you should be fine. There are major gang wars taking place and they are very hard to stamp out. Lots of unemployed, welfare raised yutes with nothing better to do with their lives than cause trouble. Young men with no purpose in life are invariably loose cannon that are not easy to control. Too bad they are giving a very beautiful and vibrant city a bad name.
I love Chicago, but it is unfortunately run by the Dem machine, is/was the home of Obama, his headquarters for election campaigns, and thus now tarnished by Obama and company. The whole state of IL is now bluer than blue, and is being run into the financial ground by the Dems on a statewide level. What a shame. So much fascinating history in Chicago, and now bad history created by a fascist dear leader and his minions. Hope when he retires Obama never comes back to Chicago and goes to Hawaii, as far away from the mainland as possible. Like banning him to Elba. He does think he’s the Emperor, you know.
Too bad he is too ignorant to recognize that the real problem are not guns but SOCIALISM which either direct or indirectly and in a round about way condemns many people to remain destitute and ignorant.
