Walmart has been caving to O and liberal groups a lot these days. They disappoint me.
It was very confusing and tedious his going over the debt limit. BTW, what was he referring to when he spoke to his employees and didn’t tell us what it was about (as he always does...) - something bout someone getting hit by a bus?
Useful idiots are no longer useful after elections.
Listening to O is making me sick to my stomach.....I hate this evil man!
Obama is a bore. Always lecturing, never realizing what a pompous fool he is. I have yet to find evidence that anyone besides his children and Valerie Jarrett can stand him. All of the talk that has dribbled out bout how aloof he is, and how difficult... He reeks of arrogance and foolishness.
Yes, all this bellyaching about less dollars in the pay check, yet not a whimper about all the job opportunities the Democrats are taxing out of the private sector.
The other kind of Democrat supporter is the ones with poor judgement. low information + poor judgement = Democrat votes
déjà vu
Rockefeller v. Goldwater, 1964
Watch out for those Party dudes. They play for keeps. I remember.
In the words of Nelson Rockefeller's public relations head, Stuart Spencer, "We had to destroy Barry Goldwater as a member of the human race."
I recall that following the 1964 election a small number of liberal media types asking did they go too far trying to destroy Goldwater.
Will the Republicans ask themselves that question about Palin?
This is one of the reasons why I am DONE with the GOP or a major political party.
I’m standing with Sarah Palin for president and only Sarah Palin. I’m through with career politicians.
catching up ...
The demonization of Sarah Palin by the left was (and is) disgusting. The lack of support from the right is borderline criminal.
If the pubbies had any brains they would make her the RNC chair. Use the left’s bias against them. They think Sarah is marginalized so they will give her the air time just to have her stick her foot in her mouth. The thing is, her positions are right, her instincts are great, and she sticks to conservative principles. Over time people will see her in a different light and the left will overreach in order to try and keep her down.
Bring it on Screwy Lewy!
Thorny issue? I’d call it a prickly one.
It's easy to get flummoxed by Colin Powell's race-based remarks.. but prominent Republicans George Romney, William Scranton, and scores of other Rockefeller Republicans blasted Goldwater and us supporters as "purveyors of hate", KKK, racists, bigots . . . as I recall they even tried to get something into the 1964 party platform saying as much. Between them and the media LBJ could have vacationed the whole election and still won.
Maybe a separation is in order. Them RNC dudes are sick.
(I still remember the photo of Nelson at the San Francisco convention podium giving Goldwater supporters the finger -- I know I saw it back then but, though there are other pictures of Nelson giving the finger, I cannot locate that one. The look on his face said it all.)
:-O
His don’t-make-me-say-that routine with the temptation-peddlers behind the glass went out with high-button shoes.
He relishes the audience anger that inevitably bubbles up when he does the Silent Greek Chorus routine but in this instance he’s wrong.
Rush hasn’t flown commercial in many years (and he is deaf) so he may not realize that being an unwilling third party to someone else’s conversation is a great annoyance e.g. he hasn’t been around the idiot invading your personal space waiting to deplane while yakking on his phone.
It’s understandable that he has affection for his loyal employees. However, if they are that clever or interesting then give them a microphone. If not, then he should use those other ‘21 hours’ to converse with them.
The one I remember had more feeling like this (below) as he stood behind the podium trying to give a five-minute speech that took almost twenty minutes due to interruptions from the Goldwater delegates crowd -- and they had good reason to interrupt. See below.
i do not have a TV but I understand that this guy is on TV.
This description is chilling.. and it seems that it has only gotten worse nowadays. From a PBS source:
The atmosphere at the Republican convention was heated as Nelson Rockefeller stepped up to the podium to address the belligerent crowd: "During this year I have crisscrossed this nation, fighting to keep the Republican party the party of all the people ... and warning of the extremist threat, its danger to the party, and danger to the nation," he said, taking his time as the crowd cheered "We want Barry!" "These extremists feed on fear, hate and terror, [they have] no program for America and the Republican Party... [they] operate from dark shadows of secrecy. It is essential that this convention repudiate here and now any doctrinaire, militant minority whether Communist, Ku Klux Klan or Birchers." It was, according to many, Nelson Rockefeller's finest moment -- but it did little to stop the conservative wave that was transforming the GOP.
Note that last sentence.. but I did warn that it was from taxpayer funded "nonpartisan" PBS.
