President Barack Obama on Monday rejected any negotiation with Republicans over the most pressing U.S. fiscal issue, refusing to trade cuts in government spending in exchange for raising the borrowing limit.

Ordinarily, I’d say “Screw him - let it all burn.” However, somehow I think these two crybabies will do exactly as the pictures indicate.

Hey, McConnell, I’m gonna primary your buddy Saxby next year....even vote for the Democrat if I have to. I hope the same happens to you!

The big 0 said today:

But if they want to keep this responsibility, then they need to go ahead and get it done.

QUESTION: Thank you, sir. As you know, Senate Democrats --

Harry Reid sent you a letter begging you, essentially, to take -- consider some sort of executive action on this debt ceiling issue. I know you've said you're not negotiating on it. Your administration has ruled out the various ideas that have been out there, the 14th Amendment, but just this morning, House -- one of the House Democratic leaders, Jim Clyburn, asked you to use the 14th Amendment and even said sometimes that's what it takes. He brought up the Emancipation Proclamation as saying they took executive action when Congress wouldn't act, and he compared the debt ceiling to that. So are you considering a Plan B? And if not, why not?

OBAMA: Well, Chuck, the issue here is whether or not America pays its bills. We are not a deadbeat nation. And so there's a very simple solution to this: Congress authorizes us to pay our bills.

Now, if the House and the Senate want to give me the authority so that they don't have to take these tough votes, if they want to put the responsibility on me to raise the debt ceiling, I'm happy to take it. Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader in the Senate, had a proposal like that last year. And I'm happy to accept it.

But if they want to keep this responsibility, then they need to go ahead and get it done. And, you know, there are no magic tricks here. There are no loopholes. There are no, you know, easy outs. This is a matter of Congress authorizes spending. They order me to spend. They tell me, you need to fund our Defense Department at such- and-such a level, you need to send out Social Security checks, you need to make sure that you are paying to care for our veterans. They lay all this out for me, and -- because they have the spending power. And so I am required by law to go ahead and pay these bills.

NO! You know as well as I do RINOs are just as bad as Democrats - worse sometimes. And believe it or not, there are some Democrats that have been, out there that were and still maybe are decent conservative people. Two Georgians I am proud to have been a constituent of are Zell Miller and Larry McDonald...... Chambliss and Isakson are nothing but power grubbing backstabbing fence sitting RINOS, period.

It is better to know 100% someone will frack you (a bad Democrat) than an untrustworthy RINO like them. Regardless, I’ve come to the conclusion our SENATE is lost, period. Even if they have Senators - they have no connection to the common man or woman in this country.

We have to depend on our House to stop anything Obama wants to do.

I think Obama is basically taking an absolutist stance and refusing to negotiate with Republicans as a response to the iron-willed John Boehner and his absolutist response to never negotiate, never compromise, never given in to anything a Democrat proposes.

And I think the media heard Obama take this hard stance and you could almost hear their sigh of relief -- "Finally!! Someone is going to stand up to those hard-nosed Republicans! Maybe now we start moving this country to the Left!!!"

You can't negotiate with a monster who is quite happy if the US in hurt so there is only capitulation or take the hit and don't raise the ceiling. The worst pain will not be because the debt ceiling isn't raised, but by Obama's deliberate management to make sure the most damage is done. So, yes, let it burn would be the better course of action. Otherwise, Obama owns the GOP and the country.

Oh just bark that up another tree.. You don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t vote for Obama the first time, nor the second.....it’s people like you that thinks anything with Republican on it is better than Democrat...I’m saying the names don’t matter. If you knew about McDonald or Miller, maybe you’d think differently.

Well boehner and company have already exposed themselves as weak negotiators. The only way pubs could win would be to hold fast, call obama’s bluff and see it thru. Obama would not expect that tactic.

The government takes in enough money every month to run the debts as we have them military payroll, social security, and etc..there just isn’t the money for extra spending and more free loader programs from the dems...

The EBT recharges I could give a hoot about. SS? I’d forego it. Military pay? They always threaten it as first priority....The big bugaboo three....in truth, Obama would NEVER not recharge EBTs or SS...and he couldn’t afford the flak on the military pay...he’d have to appease somehow.

yes I do - the dems vote in a block - without a majority of dems we wouldn’t have ObamaCare, and we wouldn’t have Reid as majority leader....

So go ahead and help the dems... just like a lib

You know, why even post this stuff?

Boehner and McConnell are gonna fold. The GOPe will have ended the party by 2016 -- perhaps by 2014 when the Dems retake the House. We'll be treated to an all-network special of Queen Nancy parading through Congress with her giant gavel, grinning and laughing like The Joker from Batman. Boehner will gratefully retire to the back bench, reelected again by the same gelatine "Republicans."

In 2011 we said, "You know, with 24/7 news and a web that would carry our message throughout the nation to every household, we will crush the Rancid Media with the truth. Guess what? They crushed us through just plain better tactics (yes, including lies, slander and violence, but a win is a win) and an army of welfare Eloi who had all day to demonstrate for Obama while on EBT cards, ADC, Section 8, free daycare, and no annoying husbands or jobs to confuse them.

Today Obama said that he's going to do exactly what he wants to do for the next four years and anyone who doesn't like can go screw themselves. Because Repub leadership is like the feckless Marine lieutenant in "Aliens," he can just watch the unfolding disaster with incomprehension and wet trousers. There is no resistance without heroics, if that means sacrificing your good life and cocktail parties and low-wage illegal immigrant workers (sorry; it's true) and glamorous life in DC and All the Right Friends and a cushy lobbyist job when you've decided to retire from your lifetime seat in government... The Founders risked it all -- in their words, their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor.

It is execrable that the Left now has unlimited government money to hold rallies, terrorize children, beat-up opponents, and rent thousands of buses for protests, but we let that happen. We have jobs so we can pay for the 19,000 imaginary welfare recipients in Massachusetts that don't exist but get their checks anyway. And it won't be getting better any time soon. Collapse? More like watching the tide slowly destroy a sand castle.

You said Boehner and McConnell are responsible for making the tax cuts permanent. I see that as a way where they caved, but more importantly, they are wusses that aren’t using thre media to fight back, they just bend over and take it year after year, and with this 2nd ammendment infringement neither one of these bozos are saying anything. These are the 2 biggest cavers we have in the Republican party and they have proved beyond doubt how big of RINO these guys both are.

“You said Boehner and McConnell are responsible for making the tax cuts permanent. I see that as a way where they caved”

So permanent tax cuts are a sign that the GOP caved? You are a bonafide nutball. The GOP should have raised all the taxes rates right? That would of made you happy?

And furthermore you actually think they can use the media when in fact I can say the same the about you.... why don’t you use the media - apparently you have a keyboard. No you’d rather side with the media and beat up the people that are on your team. The MSM is part of the problem - you listen to them then argue their points that R cave, having not a lick of understanding what is going on....

You can go back and call me and others names but like a said that is a sign of a true liberal - can’t make an argument so you gotta resort to name calling as a primary point. (You are sounding more and more like Obama all the time) You call me a RINO all you want, I’m a Republican who votes Republican versus you who gets Democrats elected... go away and play on DU
