A Wilmington man told police he intentionally ran a car into a restaurant Friday after a woman criticized his political views, according to Star News Online.
Police say at least one person was injured in the wreck that happened just before 11 p.m. Friday.
The man ran his dark green Honda Civic through the front of Katy's Great Eats in Wilmington before driving away from the scene.
Police later found the car and arrested Jacob Spivey, 26. Spivey told police he was trying to hurt a woman who criticized his political views.
The woman, in her 40s, was injured in the incident. She suffered several cuts and a few broken bones, but police say her injuries are not life-threatening.
Police charged Spivey with 11 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, felony hit and run, injury to real property and reckless operation of a vehicle.
He's being held in the New Hanover County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

Democrat. Go to the NC Board of Elections web site and look it up. Some of the other commenters who hoped he was a Republican may be disappointed. Also, go to the other online sources where you can view his mugshot. The minute I read about a political argument being the cause of this, I thought this sounds like the actions of a typical Democrat. Many of them are a violent, angry, miserable sort with the emotional stability of infants.
That’s certainly what I guessed. Two probable reasons:
1. The media would have identified him if he’d been a Republican.
2. Libtards are more likely to behave that way than any conservaties. Neo Nazis, possibly, but then Neo Nazis ARE NOT conservatives any more than Hitler was.
Bet it was a hybrid.
