Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told a Nevada television station Friday that the Senate is unlikely to pass an assault weapons ban or a radical revamp of filibuster rules. But the Democratic leader was optimistic about changes to immigration laws, noting that it will be the chambers top priority this year. In the interview that aired on Vegas PBS this weekend, Reid, a gun rights supporter, struck a pragmatic tone on gun control measures. Lets be realistic. In the Senate, were going to do what we think can get through the House. And Im not going to be going through a bunch of these gyrations just to say weve done something because if were really legislators, the purpose of it is to pass legislation, Reid said. He said he wants to see what President Barack Obama wants to do by administrative means. Reid also expressed reservations about legislation to outlaw assault weapons, a measure that he has long opposed. Is it something that can pass the Senate? Maybe. Is it something that can pass the House? I doubt it, Reid said. So I think there are things that we know we can do.
Do not give up! Also, join the NRA if you are not a member!
The most sacred right hangs in the balance. While this is good, news do NOT get complacent.
The Primary Perpetrator
Perforators?
The Child Savers?
etc.
Why do RINOs continue to allow LibDems to define the definitions in these debates? Can we STOP using the term “assualt weapon” when nearly 100% of legal gun owners want to legally use guns to legally defend themselves? I would not own an “assualt weapon” since I would not assault anyone, But I would own some kick-ass defensive weapons of my own choosing, the the caliber of my choosing, and magazine size of my own choosing. When the street thugs unlawfully have high-cyclic rate, high capacity, large caliber guns, why I am I not allowed to have a fair fight?

AWAKE!
He’ll keep saying that right up to when he shoves it up your ***.
Exactly. The Democrats are people of the lie.
Just joined the NRA. Unfortunately, I live in CT, so my Rep. and Sens are all far left wacko Dems(thanks Bridgeport and Hartford). One wants to have background check for ammo purchases.
Your joining NRA still has an impact on your whack job reps.
They will be made very aware of how many people they represent who are NA, moreover how many recently joined and that is pressure.
Get a couple of buddies to join and get them to do the same.
I just wrote my new Rep, Scott Perry. I told him that I would fully support him in voting no on all gun control measures. The only changes that I want to see are the elimination of all background checks (criminals don’t do them anyway), and the elimination of tax stamps and background checks on silencers and fully automatic weapons. Of theses changes the most important one to me is the elimination of tax stamps on silencers. This is a health issue, particularly when shooting indoors during winter.
