The White House has identified 19 executive actions for President Barack Obama to move unilaterally on gun control, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of House Democrats on Monday, the administration’s first definitive statements about its response to last month’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Later this week, Obama will formally announce his proposals to reduce gun violence, which are expected to include renewal of the assault weapons ban, universal background checks and prohibition of high-capacity magazine clips. But Biden, who has been leading Obama’s task force on the response, spent two hours briefing a small group of sympathetic House Democrats on the road ahead in the latest White House outreach to invested groups.
The focus on executive orders is the result of the White House and other Democrats acknowledging the political difficulty of enacting any new gun legislation, a topic Biden did not address in Monday’s meeting.
“It was all focusing on enforcing existing law, administering things like improving the background database, things like that that do not involve a change in the law but enforcing and making sure that the present law is administered as well as possible,” said Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.).
But Biden did indicate that the remains of the Obama campaign apparatus may be activated in the effort.
“He said that this has been a real focus on the policy and that the politics of this issue, that a strategy on the politics of the issue hasn’t been undertaken yet,” Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) told POLITICO. “He did remind us that the campaign infrastructure is still accessible.”

On Wednesday, Vice President Biden said the White House is considering using executive orders to implement new gun restrictions.
I’m writing to make sure you saw my public response to the White House:
When the president’s policies cannot pass Congress, it means the American people have rejected them. A White House order for new gun controls would be in clear defiance of the will of the people and our democratic process. As a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights, I reject this threat from the White House and am prepared to introduce legislation to repeal any executive order that infringes on our right to keep and bear arms.
To my fellow Georgians and Americans, it’s important that you know I will defend our Second Amendment rights. I will use my seat in Congress to resist and repeal efforts by the White House that overstep executive authority, bypass the legislature and infringe on our rights.
The U.S. Constitution does not mince words: “...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Hey, I voted for ROmeny holding my nose but I knew just like with McLame that he was not going to win out with the fraud the democrats always pull. Bottomline is until we get better candidates, we should expect to lose. It’s as simple as that.
And yet there were those who held more contempt for Romney. In order to justify to utter stupidity and selfishness, they have to use the tired old line: “Hey, there's not one bit of difference between Romney and Obama.” They know in their hearts this wouldn't be happening if Romney won the election.
In the final analysis, these “Patriots” who stayed home on election night, or who voted third party, have succeeded at nothing (other than helping to give us Obama II). I can just imagine them sitting home on election night thinking to themselves: “I'll show them...They'll be sorry.” Their little fit accomplished nothing. Nobody is thinking of them, or their little “sacrifice.” Nope, now we're trying to figure out how to keep our guns.
These idiots know in their hearts, Romney would NOT be trying to take our guns away. Thanks for giving us Obama Patriots. you must be proud of your accomplishment!

He didn’t win because 3-4 million people stayed home. To make this even more sickening; Obama received less votes this election than his first. So much for these “Patriots” insisting they didn’t help Obama win.

I’m pretty sure the atf can inspect any ffl at any time and pull every 4473 they have. They can also pull the ffls license for the tiniest infraction.
