Contact your legislators now!
At Ruger, our motto is "Arms Makers for Responsible Citizens." It is not just a slogan; it is genuine recognition that millions of law-abiding citizens use our firearms safely and responsibly every day. We are mechanics, doctors, teachers, police officers, firemen, nurses, factory workers, and every other occupation you can name. We are a vast and too-often silent majority ... and our rights are under attack.
Given the forces assembling against us, merely relying upon lobbying efforts is insufficient. Law-abiding firearms owners must stand up and be heard. This affects all of us, so we cannot stand idly by and rely upon others to fight on our behalf. Too much is at stake.
Step one: Please click on one of the buttons to the right for an easy way to tell your legislators you care about gun rights. The button allows you to send a prepared email letter quickly and easily. The Find Your Representatives button has detailed contact information for each of your legislators so, if you prefer, you can call them or write them a more personal letter.

Click on the "Take Action Now!" button on the right and fill out the form. Ruger will send a message to your state reps, your governor, your House Rep, your Senators, Joe "Plugs" Biden, and of course, the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

BTTT!!!
Bill Ruger liked the idea of limited civilians to 10 rounds per mag.
I’m glad to see the company has taken it’s new direction with actual military-inspired designs and personal combat since his passing.
We will have to determine what other action needs to be done once Hussein tells us what executive action he's going to take toward the end of the week.
I have no doubt he would like to strip every single defensive weapon from everyone. He will just keep creeping forward a bit at a time taking this weapon and that one, but he cannot succeed.
SP-101 BUMP!
Bill wanted a 15 round limit so it wo0uld bring glocks mags in lione with his pistols mags.
What happen was the 10 round limit. Bill tried to kiss the feds ass for a long time.
Sorry to say, but we all thought he had no chance at election, then we were doubly convinced he would, lose re election. The traitors are relentless in their incrementalism while we sit home waiting for Reagan to rise from the grave. They will do it and we will watch.
A few brave souls will keep the oath, to be quickly dealt with as warning to others. It’s over.
Life long optimist here who has come to terms with reality .
Right now the band of thieves and d-bags that make up the NYS legislature is getting ready to vote on a more severe assault weapon ban than we already have. They will vote in the dead of night, on the 1 month aniversary of the shooting based on emotional not rational reasons. The fix appears to be in. Called my state senate rep, no answer. G-D Damn them all to Hell.
Good for you!
The only Ruger we own is an LC9 I bought for my wife last Christmas. She’s good with it but still has a little trouble racking the slide. (She’s also left-handed so she had a little steeper learning curve with the controls, but she’s gettin’ there.)
There are no assault weapons in my home.
But there are a bunch of defense weapons.
I feel the need to expand the collection too.
Same here.
I’ve never owned a carbine until just recently.
If I was Ruger, I would tell the Governor Dan MORON (AKA Dan Malloy) that I’ll be moving the HQ out of CT, if any of the LIBERALS in CT wants to ban firearms.....and the same if I was the CEO of Colt, US Repeating Arms, Marlin and if I was the CEO of Smith and Wesson, I’d tell Patty (duval Patrick) that I’d be moving the HQ out of Mass...

As the ghouls swoop in on Blows infamatory rhetoric promoted by The New York Times with directionless rebuttal or meaningless responses laughed at by its staffers. I’m.not even sure if a C.M.Blow is even listed on the NYT staff .
I submit the purpose of this NYT article is to keep the right and conservatives focused on what the Demo-Coms describe as issues through their propaganda arm known as the MSM (mainline socialist media) not on the problems created by the “Libs” on their road of good intentions or the socialist/communists successors to comtrol over todays Democrat party :
Not one word in Blows inflamatory contribution will address or offer a solution about the hundreds of gangland murders and shootings using illegaly obtained mostly handguns and revolvers .Not assault weapons” which are really single shot per trigger pull rifles, used for small game hunting or target practice. That are made to look like their military counterpart. .
Blow certainly cant critique a system created by his ilk .Ignored by his publication is that when once caught, perps get set free with lenient sentencing from liberal judges or sob sister plea bargain prosecution promoted by The New York Times. Theres certainly no criticism of no snitch mentality partcularly in areas where these shootings are rampant.
What do you expect an honest look at the problem from The New York Times ? Theyre incapable thats why theyre going broke...Printing tripe from people like C.M.Blow
While attempting to deal with the latest diversion by the Demo-Coms who would if they had their druthers eliminate the constitution period not just the 2nd ammendment. Conservatives and defenders of the 2nd amendment should cite these issues mentioned here. Holding their fire and shoot this when they see the whites of their eyes.
Bump.
EXCELLENT POST!
EASY is an understatement. The work is done for you and can be clicked in on a dang cell phone easy as pie.
Finally, I feel a life line has been thrown to DO something.
This is it!
SIDEBAR THIS, PLEASE.
Btw, Stockman (R TX) will go for impeachment on any EO against 2A rights. Up on Drudge and down main page. As per Daily Caller.
What has happen to the side bar breaking news? The sidebar is old, and ignores breaking news lately.
BTTT!
Don’t just contact the fed level. City, county and state level need to be slammed as well. Just sent one off to Gov. Sandoval here in NV. I expect the Govs. (with cojones) to tell the feds they will NOT implement illegal actions taken by a radical left wing extremist trying to subjugate the citizens of the US. Time to do like Nancy said: “Just say NO!”

LOL! What is the deal on the sidebar? Are we suppose to keep it current, or the moderators? I can barely do my FR on my cell phone, nevermind configuring sidebar for breaking news. Ha! Thx.
Maybe it’s time for all firearms manufacturing companies to consider putting their states on notice that if they proceed with interfering with their ability to manufacture legal products that their customers want that they will pack up lock, stock and barrel and move to friendlier environs. I can’t believe that they still do business in some of these anti-gun locations. I’m sure there are plenty of other places that would welcome them with open “arms”. Not only that, maybe they should cease doing business of any kind with these states. From private dealers (sorry guys and gals) to state agencies as well. “If you don’t want my products in your state, then they won’t be available in your state!” EOFS! Bye bye. I’m pretty sure there are plenty of customers that will take up the slack.

I run my FR pages on “Comments” and my “Brevity” on “Headers”.
I don’t even see sidebars (let alone know how to put a post in one).
:)
THAT is good advice, my friend! And actually, I had failed to think about that, the obvious. Sometimes I miss the trees for staring at the forest.
Locally, it would help, I believe, to hand deliver any written remarks, as well as email.
BTW, it was suggested by a poster to write out a check and hand deliver it, to your nearest US representative(s), saying:
” this is one fourth of what I am going to spend on my representative found defending the 2A, and if that isn’t you, then the rest of the money goes to your opponent.”
Isn’t that a deal? If a lot of us would do just that and pry a few friends up to do the same, we would make more of an impression that we ate engaged, and invested.
I don’t know how to do it either.
Hope the Admin Mod will sidebar this post of yours AND the one of Stockman’s impeachment threat.
Can someone with knowledge about Congress/Senate identify the most effective method to contact our representatives?
In order of effectiveness, is it:
1. Call rep’s DC office
2. Send email to rep
3. Call local rep’s office.
all of the above and if you call (another reps office) they will ask for your zip code of where you live to make sure you are in their district.
I usually don't have any trouble getting a live person for my Senator or Reps office. Again, if I don't get a live answer, I call one of their field offices (listed on their website).
Faxes (to DC offices) work well, too.
It should be said e-mails are pretty much ignored and simply farmed of your email address so you can get their “news letters” and hit up for cash every 2 or 6 years.
New York state is not and has not been a free state for 100 years. Nothing they do there surprises me. I would never live there and have never visited and never plan to.
I pity the few REAL conservatives there.

“A few brave souls will keep the oath, to be quickly dealt with as warning to others. Its over”.
There are more of us than there are of them.
Oath keepers will win the day.
It ain’t over till it’s over. Keep the faith baby.
The old constituent trap.
I love it when I’m ignored by someone with the thought process that I’m not their constituent because I don’t happen to live where they think I should.
That describes someone who has votes on their mind, not the welfare of the American People, and the good of the country in their heart of hearts.
The vote of everyone in Congress has an effect on every individual in the country, and so if “they” aren’t listening to everyone, “they” have written you off, and “they” aren’t worth your time other than working to get them OUTTA THERE.
“if you prefer, you can call them or write them a more personal letter”.
If I may add, personal means just that. Do not cut and paste.
Use your own words. Ten thousand emails exactly alike are viewed as ten thousand too lazy to put thoughts together on what might be an important subject.
