” As he imperially defies the Constitution on one matter after another, the best course of action may be to bide our time until he has essentially “hung himself”

At some point in this process he will have amassed so much power that Congress and the Courts can no longer contain him. That’s a dangerous path to take.

U.N. approves new debate on arms treaty opposed by U.S. gun lobby (UN wants US gun control, and Hillary signed that treaty. Now Oboma has to deliver. )

Makes one wonder how convenient the Sandy Hook massacre was. Was it really just a gift from Allah, or was the shooter "nudged" a little into doing what he did?
It's strange how the entire incident is out of sight and out of mind, and now all eyes are simply on punishing those who had nothing to do with the crime.

yes, that is correct. he was indeed neutered. he had two more years (essentially) left in his second term, and he got very little done in those two years.

Also, only two presidents have ever been impeached, and the senate failed to remove in both cases. So, it is not just the modern day senates who failed to remove. It has NEVER happened.

The question is: would THIS House impeach him? they have enough votes, that is for sure, with a straight party-line vote.

They are coming . . . enough said.

I hope so. We need them now more than ever. Political correctness is even telling us what we are "allowed" to think and believe!

If P0TUS has no regard for the Law, then how can you use laws to begin an Impeachment process?
What right do the people of the United States have to
take action against lawlessness by our elected officials?

Numerically, there are enough Republicans to do it. All that is required to impeach is a simple majority vote in the House. Of course there is no way to get a majority in the Senate, much less the 2/3 required to remove him.

Good points. I believe we should impeach even if we know the senate will acquit. However I do like your idea of biding time and ensuring we have a solid case. Let obama overreach. Good with that as long as it isn’t allowed to stand too long and establish precedence

The House might well impeach. The Senate would not convict, would possibly not even consider the issue. he President would not care. Impeachment would not cramp this president even a little.

Not going to happen in a million years. The only way he’ll leave office is on his way to exile in Kenya.

Indeed.

The House may very well impeach, but the Dingy Dirty Harry Reid-controlled Senate votes to remove. . .and that ain’t gonna happen, no matter the crime, no matter the justification.

The leftist anti-Americans (oxymoron) always place their party over this great nation.

Every single time.

> I’ll guarantee that Obama has his DOJ doing extensive back ground checks on every house republican. They will be looking for just enough people they could blackmail or rip apart in the media in order to control the vote.

And surveillance withi llegal wiretaps on every form of communication they use. You can put money on that. It’s the Herbert Hoover method. He probably has dresses and high heels in his closet too...

“Political correctness is even telling us what we are “allowed” to think and believe!”

ONLY, if we let them (Government).

“Also, only two presidents have ever been impeached, and the senate failed to remove in both cases.”

Actually, Clinton’s impeachment was even more dramatic.
He is the only elected President impeached.

Andrew Johnson was unelected and became President only after Lincoln was assasinated. His Impeachment came from being a Democrat VP of a Republican President.

Perhaps if enough influencial people such as Meese speak out about impeachment being a very real and viable option if he dares issue the EO, the republicans will start getting some backbone. We the people need to play a role in this as well. If the republicans see that the people don’t think it’s important enough to swarm DC, then they’ll cave.
