A bill that was authored by an Ironworkers union organizer to expand union-only Project Labor Agreementsto include Hurricane Sandy cleanup and reconstructionpassed the New Jersey Senate on Monday along party lines 23-13.
The Ironworkers union organizer who drafted the pro-union bill, Steven Sweeney, also happens to be the president of the New Jersey Senate and recently accused New Jersey Governor Chris Christie of praying for Hurricane Sandy to hit New Jersey.
As it turns out, though, unions must be counting their blessing with the New Jerseys Senate passage of S. 2425 which adds to an already-existing discriminatory PLA laws in New Jersey:

They are discriminating.
Would that be a terrible thing that would elicit much national outrage?
No Worry Mate, the BIG Boy will just veto the discriminatory bill.
Good. 14th Amendment - no Federal money for you!
The FOOL republicans in the congress who passed Sandy Relief should have saw this coming and made it a condition that all work is open to ALL companies (union and non-union)

You might want to pay close attention to your auto insurance bill.
My wife brought to my attention that our latest auto insurance bill includes a $2 increase to be used for this relief effort. Now that just P.O.s me to no end. I told her to pay the bill minus the $2.
I dare them to give me a hard time about it.
No Worry Mate, the BIG Boy will just veto the discriminatory bill.

You wouldn’t want to make a little bet on that would you?
Where is the RICO act?
Wonder how many years they can stretch out the Sandy Works Project?
Pray for America
And we taxpayers in other States have to pay for it. Too bad our representatives can’t (won’t) do something to ensure our money is spent wisely when these relief fund bills come up.
You know Governor Pork Porkie will sign this.
