NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) - The Hudson County town of West New York is considering a widespread sign regulation that could include banning American flags from being flown.
The Board of Commissioners have a draft ordinance for "General Sign Regulations".
Among the prohibited signs under the proposal would be "Flags, banners and pennants."
This has opponents upset.

MAYOR RESPONDS TO ALLEGATIONS OF FLAG BANNING
I want to make it very clear that American flags, nor any other nation’s flag, have NOT been
banned in West New York. It has been an unfortunate matter of misunderstanding.
As a colonel in the United States Army for 37 years, it would be absolutely absurd for me to
support flag banning in any way. I love this country. If not for this country, I would not have
been able to become a physician, a colonel, or your mayor.
It would be a violation of our freedom of speech to disallow residents to show their patriotism.
This is the sort of oppression I experienced in Cuba. The freedom to proudly display the
American flag and to express oneself is what inspired me to serve in the United States military
for nearly four decades. It is why I love my country.
The original intent behind the ordinance that was introduced on January 16 was to address the
digital signs and advertisements polluting our streets, NOT to ban the American flag. Many
surrounding towns have enacted similar laws in order to reduce the nuisance of too much
advertisement.
Ultimately the ordinance is meant to improve the quality of life for the residents of West New
York, which is always our goal.
Maybe the supporters of this are simply deported since they hate America.
Christie comes out to condemn those “flag wavers” and to praise the residents of this town as proud patriots in 3...2...1...
FRiends, the GOPe has aligned themselves with the enemies of America, traditional American values, and the US Constitution. We have to get busy taking back the GOP from RINOs or creating a viable third party.
Time to Rope-a-Dope the GOPe.

On the other hand with all these Fascist/Nazi wanna-bees now coming out of the wood work and exposing themselves does make it a bit easier to identify the leaders of the opposition.

Is there an actual exception for national flags written into the ordinance? If not, the intention was as clear as day.
It’s because this country is not the same one in which you and I grew up. It is now a third-world country inundated with immigrants, both legal and illegal, who didn’t come here for a better life through assimilation as traditional citizens. They came here to rape and use the best of this country, while hoping to transform it into the sh!tholes from whence they came. Take everything they can get with as little honest effort as possible
It is not the same country where real Americans loved and worked to make it better; the communists, socialists, malcontents, users, takers and losers want to destroy it. They worked to overtake the education system to poison the minds of its young; they worked to kill its unborn in fantastically huge numbers. Their goal, their President’s goal is to make it prostrate in the world court of the United Nations, begging and bowing for forgiveness.
Most young people don’t even realize what’s happened...they watch Idol, You can Dance and whatever the hell else distracts them. They Twitter, Facebook their lost lives, and push the envelope of decency with every weekend. And, they hear a President on TV and the radio telling them how bad America is. Young people don’t see it because that’s all they’ve been taught or can see. Only old people know what’s happened, and they’ve been demonized beyond recognition.
Do you remember just a few years ago the Dims (led by Schmucky Schumer) making a public announcement that they would no longer pursue gun control as part of their party platform?
The evidence is now in that they never gave that issue up.
They simply employed a Soviet- and Islamofascist-style tactical retreat to work under the cloak of secrecy and to await the moment to renew their attack.
A large Hispanic community with a large immigrant population. My guess is that they could care less about the American flag. Today’s immigrants do not embrace America as they once did and rather bleed us dry.
Also, Hudson county is one of the most corrupt counties in NJ.
Christie will support this. Bet on it.
