WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. A suburban New York City newspaper has removed the names and addresses of residents with pistol permits from its website.
~~SNIP~~
The president and publisher of The Journal News Media Group announced the move Friday. Janet Hasson said the new law does not require removing the data, but "doing so complies with its spirit."

I recall hearing that they lost a lot of their subscribers. I hope they go out of business and every single liberal employee is unemployed for a long, long time. It ain’t easy to get a new job in the newspaper business these days.
The newspaper was hit by a widespread boycott in its readership area - and it hurt them badly.
So much for the doctrine of shouting “Fire!” in a crowded theater. Particularly when there was not even smoke to be detected.
Sure, the damage was done - but the newspaper managed to do themselves almost as much damage as well.
Stupidity is the one crime the Universe never allows to go unpunished.

Actually they are not apologetic at all.
They are complying with the "spirit" of the new NY law that was part of the gun grabbing bill that just passed. In addition, they said 27 days was sufficient for everyone to read it anyway.
The editors of this paper would probably be willing to lose all its readers in the name of secular socialism. The mainstream media has shown that they are willing to die a slow death rather than change and offer more balanced reporting.
Did you see the Old Hippie Socialist owner on that YouTube where that group offered him a sign for his home that said, “Proudly Gun Free” or something like that? What a self-righteous schmuck.
...mounting law suits
I wonder if their legal consul picked up the phone and thanked the moron publisher and editor for the huge billing hours he will be enjoying when someone sues the ever living crap out of them when one of the homes listed on that website are targeted by criminals...
Dwight R Worley - The author
According to an Editors Note accompanying this reporters article revealing the home addresses of all licensed pistol owners, Journal News reporter Dwight R. Worley owns a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 Magnum and has had a residence permit in New York City for that weapon since February 2011.
Id heard pistol permits were impossible to obtain in New York City unless you were Donald Trump or a friend of the Mayor, but perhaps Dwight knows someone. In any event, should you wish to examine his 357, heres where to view it:
