Something like pushing for gun contols while she was carrying or had armed security of her own?

The left is trying to position defenders of the 2nd Amendment as the southern racists (who were Democrats) who resisted the civil-rights movement.
You can’t get much more bass-ackwards in interpreting history and current events, but hey, that’s the mindlessness of the left.
Regardless.
We need to continue to position ourselves as FIRST RESPONDERS and as the FINAL LINE OF DEFENSE of our homes and our country.
Citizens are usually the first ones on any scene. When a murderous attack is stopped by LEO, the average number of people killed is 14. When a citizen stops the attack, the average number is 2.5.
Against enemies both foreign and domestic, it is the armed citizen who defends liberty.
Our battle cry must be:

It will be difficult to obtain a firearm if there is a two-year back order.
And guns aren’t worth much without ammo.
And it will be difficult to use and train the next generation on firearms if they make it illegal to pass them on and we can’t effectively shoot.

Until such traitorous politicians like Diane Feinstein are tried, convicted, and taken to the gallows for execution of sentence.
You underestimate the resourcefulness of Americans. Lots of countries have far tougher gun laws that we do and it doesn’t make much difference. We’re starting at a place with a few hundred million guns already in circulation and the vast majority never required registration.

Yes, you are correct, death by a thousand cuts. At a recent Tea Party meeting, the night’s speaker said that they will freeze assets of gun owners who refuse to comply with firearm confiscation or mandatory turn in orders.

You can’t really compare us to them in that regard.
We are on the verge of becoming a completely digitized society that has databasing and info-sharing on all of its citizens.
When they outlaw the guns, they will ensure that if you have not obeyed those laws, you will not have access to your assets, to your pay, to medical care, any of the necessities and many of the luxuries of our lifestyle.
What we are facing is relegating ourselves to exile from our own nation if we decide to buck the system.
All you need to do to know this is look at the gist of Obammie the Commie’s 23 statist fiats. One of the overall messages is one of databasing and sharing information.
That’s where they’re taking us.
Those aren’t the people they want to disarm, it’s ‘we’ the conservatives that they fear.
I may be naive, but I’d like to hear other Freepers opinions or knowledge about when or if the “gun control” hysteria may mitigate or calm down enough for the supplies of firearms and ammo to be replenished in stores and the prices to stabilize to “reasonable” prices if that’s even possible now. Will this ever happen in our lifetimes now or has the world totally changed and forever under our feet? Will we survive Obama and the Dims or are we toast? I’m scared and depressed. Is this the biggest battle of our lives? Bigger than WWII because the enemy is now within our very country.
