The Air Force announced Friday it had found hundreds of examples of pornography and tens of thousands of other inappropriate items in a recent sweep of bases and facilities worldwide.
Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh III in late November ordered wing commanders to scour work areas for pornographic or offensive materials that sexually objectify men or women, and for other unprofessional items.

The majority of 631 items deemed pornographic were uncovered in Air Education and Training Command, which oversees training at Lackland and other bases. While most were items like magazines or computer videos that were removed or deleted, investigators also identified 11 pornographic computer images that were preserved for evidence, according to a database provided by the Air Force.
Air Force officials said they could not comment the images, which could be part of a criminal investigation.
Other items classified as pornography might not meet the typical definition of the term, however. In the Pacific Air Forces command, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and Maxim were included in the porn list. The database noted that such magazines, as well as Playboy, are readily available for purchase at AAFES.

The most wide-ranging category covered 27,598 inappropriate/offensive items. It included sexually suggestive posters in public areas, obscene cartoons and more than 200 images of aircraft nose art, some dating to World War II. Air Force Special Operations command removed several examples found in the interior of its aircraft.

I bet that as long as it’s gay porn or islamic goat/kiddie porn it’s okay.
That was my first thought too, though I didn’t elaborate on it. I’m sure we’ll see that some porn (or sexual harassment) is more “acceptable” than others.
Military sans testosterone?
[And as I type that in, my spell checker tells me “testosterone” is not a word - go figure.]
But the Fort Hood jihadist’s rantings passed muster.
Wow, glad our “leaders” have important things to do.
All this time, I thought the AF was there to break things from the air.
Hey, why not find out who put those girlie pics on those B-17s, find them, and prosecute them?
Shove it up your smelly collective Obamas, USAF “leaders”.
(Yup, I’m a retired fighter type and don’t think much - at all - of our present leadership.)
Indeed.
Hypocrisy is a scourge, and the taproot of evil.
As I enter my sixth decade and after a day of battling the paucity of training and education I now find regularly in the workplace and much of society in general, I was thinking, again. If we don’t move along with change we get so far behind it we are totally out of cadence. Eventually though it becomes just too much for us we are overwhelmed and it is time to move on and let someone else struggle with it all. I’m about there.
Imagine how it must be for someone in their 80’s?
Without doubt all change is not good or even necessary.
Women in the work force, women in command, gays, entitlement, EEO. It has all done no good but for those who have been afforded the favors with something to prove for some reason, have a chip on their shoulder or just want something free.
As Limbaugh says, “The women’s movement is designed to provide ugly women access to the mainstream of society.” Likewise all other initiatives have largely been contrived to provide access and favor for people who belong somewhere else.
Not all things that can be done should be done.
We have one bucket for money and and one bucket for crap. When either bucket gets full, we quit and go home.
Is that a shadow or a bush?
My brother reads Playboy for the stories. And great recipes, or so he says!!
So Great Danes and gerbils are okay?
