Freeper help needed, I'm in Miami, and there is a commercial every 5 minutes (weday.org) recruiting children to "volunteer". Only liberals with an alterior motive could spend millions on commercials recruiting kids to help the poor. It looks like a Peacecorps organization, directed at 12 year olds.
Apparently "weday.org" is part of "Free the Children" and claims to be created by a 12 year old. Looked it up, of course Soros is involved. Does anybody know anything about this? Probably an indoctrination .org for children. Any thoughts?

Youth charity that identifies developed nations, free markets, and globalization as the causes of war Claims child labor is caused by inequitable distribution of land
Free The Children (FTC) is a Toronto, Canada-based children's charity defining its principal objective as the creation of "programs to help free children from exploitation and abuse [and] to free young people from the idea that they are powerless to bring about positive social change " Founded in 1996 by then-12-year-old Canadian activist Craig Kielburger, FTC today claims a membership of 100,000 people in more than 35 countries and operates branch offices in Canada, the United States, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Free The Children claims to have built, repaired, or outfitted some 400 schools in 23 developing countries since its inception. It further claims to have shipped more than 200,000 school and health kits to children in nearly 40 developing countries, "providing them with the necessary supplies to go to school and remain healthy." These kits are collected and sent abroad by children in Canada and the United States. FTC also sponsors what it calls a "TAKE ACTION!" tour that sends teenagers trained as motivational speakers to various schools in order to "inspire students to positive social action through multi-media technology, spoken word, and moving personal stories." "At the end of the presentation," says FTC, "the students [are] encouraged to take action on one or more of a number of suggested concrete projects which will facilitate their social involvement."
Nominated three times (in 2002, 2003, and 2004) for the Nobel Peace Prize, FTC claims to have served as the lead NGO partner for the United Nations Office of the Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict; lobbied corporations "to adopt standard labeling for child-labor-free products"; "worked with the Canadian government to pass a law to prosecute Canadians who travel overseas to sexually exploit children"; "worked with the Brazilian government to allocate an additional $1 million for programs to help support child laborers"; "implemented alternative income projects helping more than 20,000 people"; "shipped $9 million in essential medical supplies to 40 countries"; "provided healthcare centers and community funding helping 500,000 people"; and "helped 125,000 people by providing access to clean water and improved sanitation."
FTC characterizes globalization as a form of American exploitation that "has helped to exacerbate wars in many developing countrieswars that have increasingly involved children." According to FTC, the existence of war can ascribed to three main culprits: developed nations, free markets, and globalization."
FTC claims that child poverty is rampant in the United States "due to cuts in programs for low-income children. ... Child poverty can be alleviated for $45 billion. This is less than the amount of money given in annual tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans during the 1980s and 1990s."
The philanthropist Eva Haller serves as President of the U.S. chapter of FTC. In 2001, FTC founder Craig Kielburger was appointed Co-Chair of the Commission on Globalization, where he served alongside George Soros, founder of the Open Society Institute. That same year, Kielburger was awarded the Distinguished Peace Leadership Award by the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF), whose President, David Krieger, is an Honorary Advisor of FTC. Craig Kielburger's brother Marc serves as the Director of FTC and presides over the organization's Youth Advisory Council.
FTCs Honorary Advisors also include, among others, actor Richard Gere; historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.; primatologist Jane Goodall; Childrens Defense Fund founder Marion Wright Edelman; Archbishop Desmond Tutu; Queen Noor of Jordan; former news anchor Walter Cronkite; and David Krieger.
The Obama Youth will probably wear green neckerchiefs instead of the red ones the Communist Young Pioneers wore. But that will be the only difference.
Starting at about 3:10 this video deals with the nazi use (and eventual destruction) of the children. There are some chilling familiarities.
Also note the praise of Hitler from the NYtimes.
Obama's World = Welfare = entitlements = Ray Nagin's New Orleans = Welfare = using other people's money to live well was a way of life for Obama now he is a very wealthy man who wants more....the Obama's will be campaigning for more power, not a better United States.
Honestly Soros is a menace to society. He has in hand in every rotting part of American fabric.
Cues that a volunteer organization is a leftist scam, or just a scam.
1) Mandatory volunteerism. “Students must volunteer if they want to graduate.” Equating volunteerism with court mandated punishment.
2) “Raising public awareness” as a goal. This is a major red flag of an organizational fraud. “Raising public awareness” is solely to sway public political opinion and raise money. The actual thing it is done on behalf of is ignored, or has only a single solution that does not work.
3) Polling children. Again, solely to change public policy, by giving biased polls to children. Some of these are so corrupt and dishonest that even fourth graders realize they are fakes. Often they are designed to encourage children to lie. And the results are “adjusted” to say what the pollsters want them to say, anyway.
4) Working children. Usually an effort at indoctrination, but with many variations to the theme. Sometimes they are set up for use as proselytization by leftist churches, the “Where have all the flowers gone” effect. In some cases, the children are encouraged to publicly protest.
There are lots more versions of this.
“1) Mandatory volunteerism...”
Yep! My state has a MANDTORY 75 hours of service/volunteerism in order to graduate. It is called SSL... my kids call it socialized servitude labor. You would be amazed at how many people supported this move when it was first initiated.. even so called conservatives.
That's an eye opener. Who verifies it? Is it through school organized events? Or can parents send in fake letters - I'm Bobby's 90 year old neighbor and am writing to say he's such a good boy who mows my lawn and walks my 17 year old poodle.
Each middle school and high school has an employee that also verifies all SSL activities. There is a list of pre-approved activities (liberal things usually) and you can submit for approval any sort of activity prior to starting the “job”. It has to be an organization that is tax exempt and the work is suppose to be supervised. For example, you can’t volunteer to help a neighbor with his lawn no matter what the circumstances (for example, even if he is a retired disabled vet). The organization cannot have religious ties either. So, you can’t volunteer at your local church. That being said... yes, there are interesting “ways” around some of the service hours. 75 hours is a minimum. Maryland universities usually will look more at students that have 296 hours and above.
This is the commercial. These glossy tactics targeting and deceiving young minds is simply disturbing. I saw this commercial 5x in 45 minutes. “Be the change” was repeated endlessly. So sad for my country.
