Ammoland ^ | 17 January, 2012 | NA

ACCOKEEK, MD --(Ammoland.com)- Uberti is pleased to introduce a new 1873 Cattleman chambered for .22 LR caliber.

Featuring a cylinder that holds 12 rounds of .22 LR, Uberti’s latest development doubles your shooting pleasure with one loading.

Given the same fit and feel of a traditional Cattleman, this .22 LR is both practical and economical.

Uberti’s Cattleman 12-Shot features a color-case hardened frame, with blued-steel barrel, backstrap and trigger guard. The stock is a beautiful one-piece walnut grip that’s hand-rubbed to a satin smooth oil finish. It is available in 4 ¾-, 5 ½-, and 7 ½-inch barrel lengths and comes with fixed sights.

My apologies, I forgot “armor-piercing cop-killer”.

Gun owners weren’t responsible for making schools the “gun-free” free-kill zones they are today. Not that the Brit you talked to would admit that.

On my personal wishlist is a K38 masterpiece

Ew, ew, bought one in 1968 during the Republican Convention riots. I lived in Miami.
I owned it a least a year before I realized the frame had a side plate. The fit was that good.
That baby was a tack driver. Used to outshoot my friends Python.

Sold it after trying to load it while crouched next to the bed one night. I thought someone was breaking in, and with 3 kids in the house left it unloaded.
I had to finance a Browning Hi Power.

Did I mention I paid $96.50 for the K 38? List price.
How I kick myself for that egregious error.

Thank God it doesn’t have a “collapsible” stock or a grenade launcher or a scope. I think one of finesteens feature to be added to the list of “ban-able” weapons will be “long steel tubes attached to the frame with a hole down the center from which a projectile may exit”. Maybe “a steel pin that, when impacting the rear of a cartridge causes the cartridge to be fired”. Lord protect us from suffering fools. Ban adjustable sights now. Who REALLY needs those anyway?

Still waiting for the freezing fog to clear for the trip down to Carson City. Read that the head of the NV senate judiciary is going to propose NO assault weapons and no 30 rd magazines in the upcoming session. Goes by Tick Segerblom or something like that. A radical left wing extremist for sure. Need to inundate him with pro 2nd stuff. Not that he’ll care since he must be soooooo much smarter than us peons.

The K38 was a fantastic cun. My original instructor when I started out shooting could stand with that thing, formal one handed stance at 25 meters, and put 5 shots into a 20mm group as regular as clockwork. Now, he was in the national champs group, but still...

No he wouldn’t admit to it. He has this utopian idea that you get rid of guns and you get rid of violence. The fact that gun crime and overall crime went up in England also didnt register. Because it wasn’t up in his neighborhood.

But ... but ... but guns were already “gotten rid of” in Sandy Hook, by means of the “gun-free” Safe Schools Act. Why, oh why, didn’t that do it for him?

Uberti builds a nice revolver. Planning on acquiring an 1873 cattleman this year. It fits my hand perfectly and feels great.

Dear Mr. or Mrs. Road,

What a coincidence! I too don’t need any of the three weapons you have described, with purpose you have so succinctly defined, but I happen to own two of those three simply because I want them. Giddy up.

One could have serious fun plinking with that and especially since it's single action, .22LR, hardly any barrel climb to contend with :)

You would need them if you lived where I do but the one you would not need is some novelty, fixed sight, short barreled, 12 shot revolver. Well I guess you could unload it and use it for hammering fence staples.

My uncle had a 22 revolver very similar to this one and used it every day.

Of course he was using it to shoot snakes from the back of a horse. Perhaps he should have carried a hammer too.
