Pennsylvania girl, 5, suspended for threatening to shoot girl with pink toy gun that blows soapy bubbles

A 5-year-old Pennsylvania girl who told another girl she was going to shoot her with a pink Hello Kitty toy gun that blows soapy bubbles has been suspended from kindergarten.

Her family has hired an attorney to fight the punishment, which initially was 10 days for issuing a 'terroristic threat.' But her punishment was reduced to two days after her mother met with school officials and had the incident dropped to 'threatening to harm another student,' which apparently carries a lesser punishment.

"It's laughable," Robin Ficker, the girl's attorney told FoxNews.com. "This is a girl who had no idea about killing or what happened in Connecticut."

Woman Brings Spoons to a Knife Fight: A woman cutting pork chops in the meat department in September at Sam’s Club in Tinley Park was confronted by another woman wielding a pair of large spoons. Daniela Griffin, 24, said she was so afraid of being hit by a spoon she raised her hands and “accidentally” cut the other woman’s nose with her pork-chop knife. Police charged Griffin with reckless conduct. On Tinley Park Patch

Stick It to the Man: A woman fired from her job in Tinley Park in July apparently spent a portion of her time drawing stick figures on documents she left behind on the office computer. “The female stick figure shows the killing or hurting of the other stick figures with a rifle, sword and breasts,” according to a report filed with police. “The stick figure drawings in the files show four figures representing (the terminated employee) having interaction with two department employees and her boyfriend, who also works at (the business). The (woman’s) stick figure kills or hurts other stick figures in the drawings which represent other employees.” Managers said the former employee once fought with another employee at the annual company Christmas party. In Calif, a ‘Criminal Threat’ can be prosecuted as a ‘strike’ felony. One, on the way to three.

Jane: “Susie, I hate you so much I’m going to bubble you!” (then proceeds to bubble Susie)
Susie: “EEEEEEK! Make Jane stop!”
School: “Jane, you’re suspended for a week and a half!”

Wouldn’t an earlier, saner age have just sat the girls down together privately (there’s no need even to punish anybody) and tried to reason with them to make up?

The good old days are certainly gone, that is for sure...

No longer can kids be kids...how many of you can remember playing ‘cops and robbers’ I believe all kids had toy guns at one time or another...I can remember my brother getting a BB Gun for his 12th birthday...all the kids in the neighborhood....got to try it out...

No fun memories for our grand kids to have...very sad world..thanks Hussein

All Hello Kitty Soap Bubble Guns must be replaced with cellphones.

Hey, it worked in the revised E.T. - Extraterrestrial movie where the FBI's guns were replaced with cellphones, and millions, maybe even billions of lives have been saved as a result.

A “terrorist threat”?! — What ... did the 5-year-old yell “alley-ackber” like the raghead did at Ft. Hood (who is still waiting to see if he’ll be punished ...)
