What’s even worse than the NFL coaching quotas — the nation elected an ultra-left wing Senator for president simply because he was black.
maybe the nfl should zero’s cabinet picks to ensure diversity.
All kinds of people seem to hate Brady and Bellichick. I can’t really figure out why, other than they can’t stand success because it reminds them of what failures they themselves are.
I’m not a huge football fan but it’s pretty hard to find fault with what the Patriots have done since Tom Brady started taking the snaps. The only thing they couldn’t manage to do was beat the stinkin Gnats when it counted most.
I am 5’8”, 62 and of white European heritage.
I am demanding - DEMANDING! - that the NFL and/or the NBA put me on one of their teams and pay me on par with the league average salary. There is not enough divesity in each team’s palyers.
After all, it’s for the kids.... (sarc)

My hubby and I have decided we will not watch the Super Bowl this year. Politics and sports do not mix.
Actually Lovie has a darn good lifetime record (81-63) and made the Superbowl with Rex Grossman as his qb.
I’m not sure why he didn’t get hired. A lot of teams would kill for the 10 win season that got him fired.

It has become an offense oriented league and his forte is defense with some very bad offensive years in Chicago.
What is it they say about football coaches, “You’ve got to be smart enough to do the job, but dumb enough to think it’s important”?
This isn’t really a matter of who is ‘qualified’ for the job, as much as who is the best possible coach that each team is able to identify and hire. (But we’re getting at the same point.)
Still, it is very human to justify any advantage given—and to take it. Used to be done in a way that disadvantaged blacks, but now obviously it gives them the advantage.

I have never been a fan of the pretty boy roundy-rounds of any era. More fun to watch a demolition derby.
