This is what Governor Palin said on August 1, 2009:

“And by the way… On health care issues going on in D.C. right now? Be wary when some kind of tie-in occurs; Because it will come up: A tie-in with guns in an attempt to take away our Second Amendment rights under the guise of some new health care plan – You know that this is coming – That the two issues will somehow crop up and they’ll be tied together. So we have to be very wary on this.” ~ Governor Sarah Palin, August 1, 2009 Anchorage, Alaska

This isn’t journalism. This is catty, juvenile, Libtard crap that wouldn’t be published in a high school paper. Some people never grow up.

I wonder what's up?

The Marxist shill MSM are terrified that Palin will run for President in 2016 and they need a full four years of degenerate lying and character assassination to get a traitor Rat to run against her.

If I see Sarah Jones walking the streets again, I'll mention to her that Palin did not take any privately owned firearms from anyone, contrary to the disingenuous manner her article is written.

That is only done by American Nazis, Communists and DemoRats.

So you lefties hate Palin, that is natural, since she is the most effective conservative in America, it would be pretty weird for you not to hate her.

First of all, I wanted to post this so Freepers could poke holes in it.

Also, as I mentioned in my comment, I’m intrigued by the amount of chatter about Governor Palin lately.

ASDF did supply their own weapons and ammo. Yes, they were also used to guard places from looters, etc. Now, they can’t carry while on ‘duty’. Logical?

She’s the real (as opposed to msm) front-runner for the nomination in 2016. Of course they need to attack her and laud Chris Christie and Jeb Bush.

You think she will run in 2016? I have my doubts. I believe her opportunity was 2012. She could have beaten Obama (Romney was a lousy candidate). Not sure she will be the strongest candidate in 2016, since we've got a deep bench of Conservative Governors ready to run (forget Bush and the Fat Man). I guess we'll see.

I’m sorry did Palin say they could no longer own their own weapons in their own houses?

Why are we so quick to offer a justification for this decision by Palin? I like her as much as the next, but I disagree with this decision. I'm not afraid to state that.

Hope this clears things up. Low-information voters (and posters) might get confused....

http://www.adn.com/2008/10/28/570834/defense-commander-resigns-after.html

The ASDF was a relic pre-statehood. Once Alaska became a state, the Alaska National Guard became the primary force; the ASDF was voluntary, ex-military — sort of like volunteer firefighters after a city has its own paid firefighters. The elderly commander was running the force as though it was his own enterprise: firing without cause, not enough training, no real organization. After a complaint was filed with the Governor’s office in 2007, an investigation was conducted by the state’s military and veterans affairs commissioner and concluded the ASDF had become a liability to the state especially if the state continued to issue weapons to this outfit. The commander resigned, and members bellyached.

“Lots of chatter on the left about Governor Palin lately.

I wonder what’s up?”

Obama’s job approval ratings have dropped below 50% according to Gallup.

Whenever Obama’s ratings drop, the LSM has to drag down others in an attempt to prop up Obama.

Thus the recent “chatter” about Palin,

When Obama is failin’, start smearing Palin.

Anyone idiotic enough to not know Palin’s effect on national politics and the conservative movement, and elections, and who compares her national political power and influence to Fred Thompson, is just not a very bright person.

The DNC goes to sleep at night fantasizing about Palin being the nominee.

Yes, we should really listen to what the DNC and the MSM tell us. That really worked out for us in the last election. Epic Fail.

Yep. Just another Palin hit piece. There were problems with the guy running it, it did work that could better be done by the National Guard, and it began to look like “a high liability risk to the state,” according to an article published at the time.
