An injured person is taken from the North Carolina State Fairgrounds after being wounded in a gun accident on Saturday.
The most casualties came at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, where attendees bolted -- with at least one woman wiping out in the frenetic scene -- when gunfire rang out around 1 p.m., as seen on video captured by CNN affiliate WRAL.

Hmmm.... how odd.
Over the FOURTH OF JULY holiday, over 9,600 people were injured.
I’m not sure how this qualifies as a story. seeing as it was 3 different minor accidents in 3 different States.
Whats next are they going to tell us about all the different people injured in tractor shows?
Number of people killed at guns shows by guns over the past 20 years.
ZERO.
The media has an agenda that they have been running with since Newtown..and that is to destroy the 2nd Amendment by any means necessary..expect to hear about every single shooting anywhere in the US..doesn’t matter who does the shooting, if the weapon used was a gun you will hear about it..because the media and the White House are working in cahoots with each other to abolish the 2nd Amendment
The press will NOT go anti-2A with the gangs in the big cities...we ALL know that.
Actually, wasn’t there a young boy who shot himself in the head when his idiot father let him handle a full auto Uzi at a gun show?
hundreds of thousands of peopel at different venues.
Let’s hear some stat on how many INTENTIONAL shootings at large Libfests
Actually there will only be a lot of stories about legal gun owners.
Wonder how many got hurt in car accidents driving to and from gun shows....
You ever heard about the zip ties at Ohio gun shows, Hinckley? VERY ODD that a person got a loaded gun into one with that kind of measure, unless it was loaded afterwards-very odd indeed! BTW, them birds are huge, aren`t they?
Gang banging crimes they won’t report because its black on black crime..doesn’t fit into their narrative..but any crime where someone is hold up, or a domestic violence incident..or any crime involving a gun you will hear about it because that’s what the media has been told to do..focus on the gun..recently here in LA some thugs held up a Nordstrom’s Rack, held 14 hostages at gunpoint and a knife, one of the scum bags repeatedly raped an employee..the media ONLY focused on the guns used..only mentioned once that they also had knives
“Never heard of a gun going off accidentally at a gun show, much less two gun shows. I smell a rat. “
I don’t. I see gun show attendance going up 4x with lots of noobs showing up.
I’ve never seen an AD at a show. But the Americans are coming out of the woodwork now in preparation for bad times.
Correct. One of the worst cases of parental judgment ever. I also wonder about the people running that particular demo event. There’s just no excuse for anyone involved in that situation, except the kid who didn’t know any better.
That is a good point and perhaps explains how this has occurred.
When I am handling or cleaning a gun, I check it 3-4 times almost compusivley to make sure there is no round in the chamber or magazine in the gun.
When I hand a weapon to someone else, if there is any way to lock the breech open, I do that and in the case of a revolver I will pass it with the cylinder open and exposed.
To me every gun is loaded even when it is not loaded and I can see that it is not loaded.
I think the guns shows are being plagued with know nothing idiots who think they can make a quick buck.
In other news this weekend, which the MSM doesn’t see a need to print, 8 people were shot, stabbed, or beaten to death in Chicago including two children. Does this make national news? Is Obama holding a news conference to hold Rahm Emanuel responsible for the 80 murders already this year in his windy city? I THINK NOT! This is not a crisis worthy of pursuing because it will bring a bad light upon a Demoncrat!
It was at a range in Mass. I’m thinking. The boy could not control the muzzle rise and fatally shot himself in the head.
Those triggers didn't pull themselves and if you took a gun to a gun show loaded it best be holstered and ready for use if necessary.
I Know, basic stuff, but it is what it is.
The jackwagon that touched off a round did not look in the chamber AND pulled the trigger...accidentally, or knew exactly what he was doing.
What sort of "Idiot" puts live ammo in any gun at a gun show? Yeah, I know the rules, all guns are assumed to be loaded at all times. But live ammo in a "display piece is such a bad idea, it just boggles the mind. It almost sinks to the level of intentional sabotage.
Why would anyone have a "full auto" Uzi on display at a gun show and let people handle it? Technically it is an NFA item and it is illegal for anyone other than the registered owner (ATF Form 4 and all that wogga wogga) to even touch it (felony?, fines for sure, & perhaps jail time) ATF for sure does not want NFA items showing up at the range to be passed around to your buddies, they are to be kept on a short leash, and they expect you to honor that lest they yank your permit.

2 Dead, 7 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday in Chicago
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/01/19/2-dead-6-wounded-in-shootings-since-friday/
It was at a range.
N.C. gun shows have the same open receiver with a zip
lock rule. According to the 11:00 PM news the gun that fired was being checked at the entrance by an LEO. It appears the
gun was being taken out of the case by the owner. Why it
fired has not been said. It was reported the LEO had not touched the gun.
Yep. 4x probably doesn't even cover it.
Americans Buy Enough Guns in Last Two Months to Outfit the Entire Chinese and Indian Armies
And who is responsible for this historic upsurge in firearms sales?

The Dem/libs have been engaging in a slow but steady push to limit our right to own guns and reduce the number of guns in private hands for decades. And this is how it has been working out for them in the last two decades...
MOLON LAVE! WE'LL BUY MORE.
Someday we might even be thanking this jug-eared dooshbag for saving the 2nd
Amendment by forcing this stupendous backlash. Well, not really thank him.
Also good points.
I’m not even sure why the trigger would be pulled at a gun show, much less with the barrel pointing in a direction that were there a round somehow in the chamber it would cause injury on discharge.
I know when I’m cleaning or inspecting a weapon, should the weapon be cocked at any point, once I am certain that there is in fact no round in it, I will then aim that weapon at a target such as the ground outside or some wall or object that I know could absord an errant shot with no injury to a human or animal, and then discharge that spring tension.
There does seem to be some suspicious gun handling going on here or in the very least some very dangerous noobery.
Most all the gun shows I go to in Texas have signs forbidding photography and video cameras. I think they are mostly concerned with "creative editing", having been burned before.
Same here. My father drilled those things into my head by the time I was 10. He was never cruel about it but he was dead serious and nearly five decades later they are things I never let slide.
Safety rule #1: It’s loaded until you personally verify that it is not loaded. Then you STILL never point it at anyone. That is, unless you are pointing it at someone who is a threat that you need to stop.
Safety rule #2: See Safety rule #1.
We apparently read or were taught the same rule book...
Just in time!
I’ve never been to a gun show that didn’t have a sign banning cameras posted.
Thanks MinorityRepublican and Jet Jaguar.

That was a shooting event, at a range, not a gun show. The press just called it a gun show because then they could claim that a little boy had been shot at a gun show.
Appallingly bad judgement was shown by every adult involved in letting that boy shoot that gun- but he was the one who paid the price for it.
“CNN conveniently had a reporter on hand. I thought all guns are scary, why would they subject themselves to this obvious torture.”
The only reason that makes sense is that they were tipped off that there was going to be something “news-worthy” happen. Could be a setup for sure. Someone pulled a trigger with a round chambered. Question is, why?
Plus the other poster is correct about the UZI being used killing a yound kid and a machine gun shoot in Mass.
Do be careful. Does anyone else remember the stories during Clintons ban attempts of liberals showing up trying to put live rounds in arms at shows?
&***Never heard of a gun going off accidentally at a gun show, much less two gun shows. I smell a rat. ***
I have. Many years ago someone looked at a pistol, slipped a cartridge into it and left it on the table. Some other fool later picked it up and pulled the trigger. I don’t remember anyone being hurt but it did cause some problems.
Anybody else think this is just too damn coincidental?
When is the last time there was an accident at a gun show let alone five in one day? Even accounting for the newbies?
Every gun show I ever went to you got a zip tie put across the receiver blocking it open.
Something smells fishy about all this crap.
I call false flag.
Aaah, roger that
Number of people killed at guns shows by guns over the past 20 years.
ZERO.
Tell ya what, though.
I’ve been to gun shows where I heard a round or three pop off. My heart rate at that time proved Einstein wrong and exceeded the speed of light!
;-)
Five injured at gun shows.
Thousands of babies slaughtered by abortionists.
Which does CNN take notice of?
Will they cover the gangster shootings in Chicago?
TV cameras in a gun show? How convenient.

I think a lot of gun shows have that rule; it was that way back in Calif 20 years ago at the big Pomona gun show.
Stupid happenings like this only becomes foder for the media. There is absolutely NO REASON ON EARTH that a loaded weapon should be allowed in the door at ANY gun shows, PERIOD!.
If the would be sellers are dumb enough to attempt to bring a loaded gun INSIDE, they do not get inside.
IMO, a special “bunker type” area needs to be made available outside so ALL, ALL weapons are inspected for safety purposes OUTSIDE. ANYONE attempting to circumvent the process would be banned indefinitely and heavily fined.
