The head of a Utah forensics company says it's only fair that two liberal employees were let go because liberal policies are costing his business.
A Utah business owner says he fired two employees in large part because they supported President Barack Obama.
“They were Obama supporters. We just knew they were," Terry Lee, owner of Terry Lee Forensics, a Cedar City, Utah, digital forensics company, told The Salt Lake Tribune on Thursday.

Contacted by the Tribune Thursday, Lee said he picked the two employees in large part on the basis of their politics, according to the newspaper. But he added that there were other issues as well, which he didn’t detail, and said the two workers "were not top performers."

Probably, but if it went to a Jury trial and I was on the jury, it would be hung for sure if it looked like he’d be found guilty.... nullification..
I know my employer is getting rid of the Obots...he’s smart enough not to advertise the reason, though.

There are logical business reasons for getting these type of people out of your life, off your payroll and out of your vendor list. We all need to do what we can, however big or small.
We had a truck driver who made regular hauls for us do the same thing. We call someone else when we have loads to haul now. It is a short distance from a man who supports a man who loots the nation to driving one of our load drunk, on drugs or pilfering from our shipments.

Well, since minorities are far more likely to be Obama supporters, a policy of firing Obama voters would have a disparate impact on minorities, and therefore is clearly illegal as a back door form of racial discrimination.

Not a problem if you are an “at will” employee. The terms of employment say the employer/employee can terminate the agreement for any reason or no reason.
I find it hard to believe that he admitted that to MSM if he has any modicum of common sense. Not only will the left devour and harass him but they will try to destroy his business as well. Personally I would have just wait that their productivity was not cutting muster and left it at that...

In 2001 we were looking at homes in Vegas as we thought we might move there but the electricity cost was really high so we stayed here in Florida. I often thought of moving back to Mich. but with the state tax & higher property taxes its not worth it. Democrats ruin every state they take over & then they run like crazy to another state due to high taxes etc. & then try to ruin that conservative state. Too bad we can’t ship them back where they belong & had voted the government they wanted.

That's not the issue. The issue is firing employees for their political views. I will never agree with that.
I expect employees to show up, do their jobs and I pay them for their work. That is the only hold I have over them. What their personal political views are and what they do when they are not on the clock is none of my business.
That employer is also not real smart. What he has done is invite a lawsuit.
I know a man that fired all the Obama voters that worked for him.
He’ a private consultant (makes a ton of money) and forewarned his accountants and lawyers, all off whom were odummie voters, that he would not longer require their services if the moron won.
He did, so they got the boot. He also changed cell phone vendors based on political donations.
You can't fire me. We are both 50 percent shareholders. You just have to put up with me or sell me your shares...at far less than I am willing to sell my shares to you.
As far as being 40 years too late to be against political retribution in the work place, better late than never.
