The date was January 12, 2013. You probably didn’t hear about this tragedy involving guns and two teenage boys. But this was the headline in the Chicago Tribune: “Boys, 14 and 15, killed in separate shootings Friday.” You didn’t hear about it because such events aren’t news in Chicago. They’re ordinary daily occurrences. As we continue to hear calls for ever-tightening gun laws from the Obama administration, and from states such as New York, it is worth thinking about those headlines in Chicago. And in inner cities all around America, places where strict gun laws are already in place. Places where the weapon of choice isn’t an AR-15 but a semiautomatic handgun — the same kind of weapon most Americans use reasonably, and safely, to secure their most precious assets: their loved ones and their property.
So let’s go back to that wretched January 12 story from Chicago, President Obama’s hometown. The murdered 14-year-old had a name, Rey Durante. He was gunned down by two shooters while standing on the porch of his Humboldt Park home. The two men opened fire, according to news accounts, near midnight, striking him multiple times in the chest.
When paramedics arrived on the scene, he was lying just inside his home, bleeding from several bullet wounds. He died there. Police found blood all over the front steps and more than half a dozen shell casings on the sidewalk. He would have turned 15 in a few days, his stepmother told reporters.
On the sidewalk near the crime scene, a local paper reported, the father of one of the boy’s friends cried as he paced near a group of teenagers. When a neighbor asked him what had happened, his response was simple — and heartbreaking . . .

More to the point there is a war of black men on white women involving rape and forced sex. Also sexual intimidation in that “you must have sex with me or you are racist and not cool”. Black dudes killing black dudes is within their race. Jesse Jackson never says anything about (so he must not care) it so why should I.
What gets people revved up is inter-racial rape murder and assault and in this, blacks are far outdoing whites. So the libs and the blacks wheel the huge propaganda machines into place when they want to spin fake morality plays like Treyvon Martin
Mass abortion is the direct result of the immoral slut and gangsta culture targeted young black people in entertainment. They could not be indoctrinated into a more destructive and evil mentality or lifestyle. Where are the so-called black churches? Too busy race baiting for socialism to care if their congregations die.

Now couple that with Hollywood and Rap culture, and we have this unsolvable mess, unless the vast majority of blacks go back to "American values," like, God, church, marriage & families, education, self respect, self responsibility, pride of ownership, neighborhood security, patriotism and the work ethic.

I've got news for you. Black crime has always been a disproportional problem. Even in the 1950's a period when black families were considered more stable.

It really is a wonder to observe the workings of the “liberal” mind! Protect women by having them abort their unborn daughters. Protect the children by taking guns away from the law abiding citizens so they cannot protect their own children and then they propose the murder of people who want to keep their guns. They think we who support the death penalty for murder but are against abortion are “inconsistent” while THEY who are for abortion but against the death penalty are consistent! Wonder of wonders, how do they imagine that the one can be inconsistent while the reverse is somehow consistent? Reality is that both positions are perfectly consistent but the conservative position is consistent with sanity while the liberal position is simply consistently insane. Truly the “liberals” are amazing, they fancy themselves to be possessed of perfect wisdom while spouting some of the most absurd nonsense ever heard of on the planet.

So I did a bit of math with the crime stats from the FBI and some census data which mirror the author’s conclusions.
1) 50% of all murder victims in 2011 were African-American.
2) 52 % of all murderers in 2011 were African-American (if their race was known and a significant fraction was unknown).
3) The murder rate (not including manslaughter) in the US in 2011 (4.1 per 100K) is half what it was in 1992, and the rate has been falling since 1992, its not an all at once thing.
4) Given that African-Americans make up 14% of the US population and commit half of all murders, that implies…
a) The murder rate for non-African-Americans (86% of the US population) is something like half the national average (about 2.3/100K) – about the same as that of Finland.
b) The murder rate for African-Americans is about 15/100K.
c) African-American men ages 13-39 are about 2.4% of the population of the US in 2011 and account for an estimated 40% of all murders.
5) About half of all murders in the US are committed with handguns (again, as of 2011).
Conclusion: Unless and until young urban Black males stop killing other young urban Black males we’re not going to significantly reduce murder rates in the US.
Opinion: The overwhelming majority of Americans don’t believe giving up their fundamental right to armed self-defense is a price worth paying to stop street thugs engaged in the narcotics trade from killing each other at a high rate.
