DALLAS (Reuters) - A pickup truck used by former President George W. Bush at his Texas ranch was sold for $300,000 at an auction on Saturday after he donated it to benefit a charity that serves U.S. military families.

I don't believe he has ever owned one since he was elected to the U.S. Senate back in 2004. All the transportation for he and his family have been provided by limousines.......
And he certainly didn't bring any dignitaries back to the upscale hood in Chicago to entertain them...........

A lot of owners believe that white vehicles don’t get quite as hot in the sun, so they are better sellers.
Yup. I;m betting that plus the fleet sales to ranchers /drillers who are buying trucks in double digits. So city cowboys get the wannabe look.

I have a light grey vehicle with light grey interior. A co-worker has a black vehicle with black interior.
Parked side-by-side, the grey vehicle interior is 25 degrees cooler after a day in summer sun.
We work at a research facility so we’ve got lots of cool instrumentation for stuff like this.

White trucks don’t get so hot inside during Texas summers.
It get hot in Texas the white reflects heat better than most other colors. The dust from the back roads doesn’t show up as much on a white or lighter colored vehicle.
Plus the paint is easier to match if you have to do a repair.
Now, with that being said, how many of the limosines that have been provided to that grifter and his family over all these years have gone up for auction?

I watched that on live TV today. I don’t remember the name of the charity that will receive the proceeds but as I understood it, the charity builds $6 mil mansions for severely wounded vets. The crowd seemed to wonder, as I did - what is a severely wounded vet going to do with a $6 mil mansion? Jay Leno was pimping Dubya’s truck and kept berating the crowd, especially when the bidding stalled at $200K, for not being up to standards of the Pebble Beach crowd that bid $600K for a Corvette that some VIP autographed. The crowd was grumbling and at one point I thought I heard booing. It was a totally awkward and goofy situation; that’s when Rick Hendrick stepped up and bid $300K and Leno scurried away out of sight.
IIRC, he had a Chrysler 300 that he sold during the 08 election.
Year 2020, Bicycle owned by former President Obama was auctioned off for $10, the proceeds were donated to the national gay/lesbian crisis center.
Can you compare to a white/white(or light as possible)?
