It was a night of mayhem and bravery that central Michigan will not soon forget.
A young woman who was abducted at gunpoint made a daring escape Wednesday night from her rapist into a house full of kids that was later set on fire by her attacker, police said.
The suspect, identified as Eric Lee Ramsey, 30, of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., was later fatally shot by police after he got into a series of hit and runs with police vehicles in a sanitation truck he had stolen. But before he died, he apparently tweeted that he was going to be shot.
The incident began Wednesday when Ramsey allegedly kidnapped the woman from Central Michigan University's campus, and brought her to a home where he bound and sexually assaulted her, according to a statement from Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski.
Ramsey then put the woman in the back of a car, retrieved two gas cans and began driving. He purportedly told the woman “he was going to take her life,” Mioduszewski said. After hearing that, the woman jumped out of the car and ran to a nearby home, she told police.
Eric Ramsey, a Michigan Dept. of Corrections parolee, was shot and killed by police after allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting a CMU student, setting a house on fire and stealing a sanitation truck that he rammed into police vehicles.
Alone inside that Lincoln Township home were a 14-year-old boy and his 11-year-old sister and 2-year-old brother. The teenager, James Persyn III, told Mlive.com that he let the woman in, locked the door and grabbed his hunting knife.

The sad part is that the bad guy only had a pellet pistol that “looked like a Glock .45”.

One guy I knew who was at the time well known just spent five years in the clink for rape. Unlike this guy, he didn't look like the boogeyman. I wouldn't be shocked if he goes back to the clink someday, either. Hide the women when he's around.

His idea of fame ? the things people do when they have sheit for brains.

The MSM only tells stories that will support their agenda.
The point is: the teenager didn’t need a gun to protect the victim. He was just as effective with a knife.
Of course until guns are banned and someone kills a bunch of people with a knife then they will be creaming to ban knives... Just like in the UK....
One of our Michigan FReepers showed me a video a few weeks back of two female college students at Western proudly bragging that they feel perfectly safe wandering unarmed at all hours of the night.
And lets not forget the feminists at UofM who threw a tantrum after police suggested that women not wander the streets alone at night.

I did quite well working a full time job and going to “just a tech school”.

I had a girlfriend who’s father died protecting a woman from her husband. The husband shot through the door with a .22 and hit my girlfriend’s dad in the stomach 3 times.
Happened to me three times in my 59 years. First time in 1974, a guy coming through my window in the middle of the night. The sound of my 44 mag cocking under his nose made him dissappear real quick.

Educated FEMALE idiots watch all those TV and movies that show an empowered 110-lb female beating the stuffing out of a 250-lb guy. On TV and in movies the female can win in a physical fight. . .see. . .and all those self-defense courses taught by the feminists on campus add to this nonsense by convincing them they are peers when it comes to a physical confrontation.
Nothing wrong with a self-defense course, as it is, but teaching one to use their brain and common-sense as first weapons should be the focus.

That may be true, but we can’t ignore the unjustly accused (and imprisoned) men out there that feel victim to the feminist indoctrination hype that “all sex is rape” and if after the act you feel guilty then you didn’t give consent. . .or you were drunk and had sex and now don’t want your boyfriend to think you did the nasty willingly. . .

As an aside, when my friends and I get into hypothetical SHTF discussions and we discuss what we’d grab if you had to grab one and run, they always howl with laughter when I say my .22LR.
It’s light, accurate and effective. Not to mention you could carry hundreds of rounds on you rather easily.
A .22 doesn’t have much in the way of knockdown power but they’re fine for hunting small game and most people don’t want to get shot with one even if it doesn’t knock them down. They’re also relatively quiet which is a plus.
That’s true (and a problem). The guy I’m referring to was guilty as hell by any definition.
