One thing the chart does reveal is that the so-called ‘stimulus’ spending of 2009 has continued unabated every year since.

The stimulus was billed as a one-time shot in the arm. But Congress (Harry and Nancy) put it on budget. Since then there have been no budgets passed by the Senate.

They are accounting for inflation. That is all the dollar is worth now.
