On August 1, 2009--just seven months into President Barack Obama’s first term--former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin predicted Obama would attempt to leverage health care to "take away" the Second Amendment rights of Americans.
In a speech to National Rifle Association members in Anchorage, Alaska, Palin said Americans should be “wary” of this “tie-in” because Obama would attempt to “take away our rights under the guise of some new health care plan”:
And by the way, [with] health care being so big in D.C. right now, be wary when some kind of tie-in occurs. Because it will crop up: a tie-in with guns in an attempt to take away our rights under the guise of some new health care plan. Reagan famously warned against what can be wrapped up inside of “healthcare”, when run by the state.
It was definitively called socialism.
When Hillary tried it, Reagan’s words rose again to haunted her efforts.
This conclusion against state mandated health care is no new revelation. Even Reagan had to lift the obvious from somewhere. He knew communism and its threat very well.
Communism has been fought in this country before, and also Hollywood.

I meant to add that ALL constitutional rights & the Bill of Rights can safely be undone, under “Healthcare”. Just pull any issue of the day, say for example, religious freedom, and that also can be “managed”, under the auspice of “healthcare”.

Freedom of assembly - contagion and communicable disease issues.
Freedom of religion - contagion, communicable disease issues, and look for some "study" that shows "people in organized religions" likely to harbor mental disorders for their faith.
Freedom of speech/the press - "dangerous, thought-provoking speech" could lead to violent, unhealthy behavior.
Right to bear arms - we're seeing this in action today...danger and physical harm lurking everywhere with this.
Freedom from unlawful search and seizure - "comrades, your houses must be searched for unhealthy and unauthorized items, dangerous flooring which could cause accidents, unsafe breathing air, fattening and unhealthy sugary drinks...etc."
Freedom from incriminating one's self - unless the HHS starts issuing "directives" about how one must behave (in a manner that "promotes health"), and that doctors routinely collect and submit data about patients.
It only gets worse from there...

We should all pray she is willing to return to the public life, of government. Government has many corrupt politicians which have none of these characteristics.

In a sense, why should she DO anything? Last time she led the charge, what did she get? Her church was torched, operatives were succeeding in bankrupting her family, her young kids were dragged through the tabloid mud and made subjects of ‘rape’ jokes by comedians, the newsmedia outlandishly laid the blame of a mass-murder right on her doorstep, ludicrous books of lies came out trashing her family and accusing her of basically being an adulterous crack-whore, her own e-mails were forced to be released by media jackals, and millions were spent on a Hollywood propaganda film to portray her as a mentally-unbalanced nutcase...
And adding to all that, she got no support from her own Party, many of whom happily joined in with the smearing. Not even welcome at the GOP convention!
Judging from this experience of the past four years, why would she actually DO anything? Look at the ‘thanks’ she got for all her efforts. But, she probably will be stepping up to the plate, once again. She’s a better person than I, in that regard. I’d undoubtedly be telling both the GOP and the whole country to just go burn in hell.
Yet millions of God-fearing, anti-socialist, anti-Obama Americans were manipulated by FEAR into voting for the first American governor to successfully implent state-mandated health care. Millions of anti-Obama Americans fell for the illusion of voting "against Obama," when such an option was purely imaginary. The good news is that there were more Americans who saw through that illusion.
I will say again: it is a good sign for America that Romney lost. Obama didn't "win," he was rejected overall, only pushed over the line by fraudulent and manipulated votes. Romney LOST because he was a statist/socialist and enough Americans who abhor socialism possessed the courage to conquer the fear tactics of GOPe.
America is in better shape than we think. It isn't rosy, there are a lot of problems, a horribly misguided and morally confused youth among the most prominent -- but they're YOUNG and have huge potential for seeing the light, and to have the instinct to REBEL against the government that would repress them. The liberal education establishment has brainwashed them in one way; reality and patient, loving fellow Americans can educate them in another. We still have a chance, because Americans are on balance good, moral, productive people, of reclaiming our individual rights and vanquishing oppressive government.
The malaise that cripples morality in today's youth springs from the absence of God. The bible states crystal clear: God is love. If there's an absence of God, there's an absense of love -- and indeed, the liberal "appeal" is based on envy, covetousness, sloth, appeal to the lust for vengeance, promiscuity, and more things that are at the other end of the spectrum from love.
Those of us who seek to bring God back into American culture as a way to regain and preserve American liberty, must regard love as a required tool for doing so. We will succeed if we remember that love MUST be the foundation of our approach.
Bottom line: We MUST RESIST THE TEMPTATION to hold our fellow Americans in contempt. That path leads to defeat. Love for and faith in our fellow Americans is the path to victory.

We know the spirit that is within those that speak against her. No matter what they say their reason is - we know it is evilness within speaking.
I didn’t know about any man speaking about her prophetically. But true Christians know their own and can see the hand of God on some and, sometimes, even for what purpose.
Any who says the media damaged her are from the pit themselves and they have no discernment and no spiritual eyes. And I have seen many comments like that here from conservatives - spiritually, they are just as rank as liberals. Now think of republicans and conservatives who shunned and/or used others to speak against her - they expose themselves more than they know. I laugh when I read how self righteous and/or ‘teaparty’ they try to appear.
She is the only politician who is beholden to NO ONE because she knows and she lives for the only ONE she is beholden to.
Through her I see how truly evil people are (gov’t/media) and in 4 years it has gotten worse because people/voters believe/watch them. Conservatives should know better but with some of them, their own evil within makes them believe and say (even in jest) what they want them to think/say - because their spirit is in agreement with them/gov’t/media even though their views may not be.
That tells me the ‘rest of the story’ for America. Stay close to God and take in HIS WORD more than you take in what ‘evil’ says. The less evil - news - the better off we will be for, then, we can continue to see clearly - spiritually.
And I thank JR because he is truly ‘one of us’ and his site has helped in more ways than 1000 media outlets. It reminds me of when so many were coming against him to get their own way. Them getting their own way did nothing for America - but it did show me how many are spiritually blind, as are many talking heads.

EVIL confiscated what is 'god-given' through politicians/judges/media's lust for power and money. Adam/Eve gave up what was god-given through manipulative means, also. There is no going back - and it didn't happen over night either. A chipping away as lust for power and money grew and that ended Patriotism. Our military would have best served WeThePeople with helping us with the enemies within.

I disagree. I detest evil and will speak out against it. I have faith in God alone and not my fellow American. You sound more like McCain with 'my fellow American'. The fact we have a president like obama - tells me all I need to know about my fellow American and that goes for Roberts right down through all the courts, all the politicians, right down to voters who CAN BE deceived and all the talking heads.

YOUTH? You could have sang that tune in the '50' or 60's but not any longer. How old are those who sit on the supreme court and in the gov't as a whole for the past 30 or so years? Who allowed the debt to pile up for today's youth? The youth is just the result of a long standing problem - not the cause. Reminder: God/prayer was taken out of gov't schools in '62 and those who wanted it out, fought for it - and those who allowed it to happen must be around 90 years old now. Don't blame the youth of today.
